There's nothing wrong with Scola, it's just that Yao is not in there to support him anymore.

Dude looks pretty gassed to me. That 4 inch vertical is now down to 2. Should they even call it a 'jump' ball when he's involved?

Most of the year he's been better than Landry, but I think Carl has more left in the tank right now. Too bad Gasol, Bynum, and Odom are such bad matchups for both of them.

I'd like to see Ron try Gasol a little, but I think we'd get killed on the boards. Ron is not a good enough rebounder to play much 4.

He only averaged 10 rbs/gm in Feb and March. The rest of the year he was pretty consistently around 8 per game. He was a good rebounder in the regular season, not phenomenal.

Against the lakers he has grabbed 8, 4, 12, 14, and 10. 48 rebounds in 5 games. Almost 10 a game. Better than in the Portland series and his highest total was in game 4 without Yao. So basically against LA his rebounding has been superior to the first round and to the regular season (even with one really bad game).

Being double teamed all the time by gasol or bynumm and with our guards unable to shoot a 3 to save their lives may lead to a lot of turnovers.

    That´s what happened.

Plus, playing the pick n roll with Artest, a guy that handles like me and is not respected by the defense from the 3 is quite difficult.

Not to say that he is a PF and has always played as PF.

Oh and did i mention that none of our 3 first offensive options he was the one with the most difficult matchup, the one that shot the best (yes, better than artest and brooks) had less turnovers than artest, the same as brooks, but more assists, and outrebounded all the lakers but gasol?

Scola played as well as you can play against a defense collapsing on you because no one could hit a 3, and against guys bigger, taller and stronger than him.

You got to look on other guys to blame when you have a PF playing a C role against too bigger players than him.
