Why not start game 6 with speed: BROOKS LOWERY ARTEST BATTIER HAYES We all know we are undersized so why not use what we have at best which is speed? Opinions?
Lakers would have a field day with that line-up with Gasol and Bynum getting close looks every drive down the court.
I would like to see Dorsey and White get a few minutes. They could not do any worse than Cook or Barry.
the game 5 could make us awake from last win at home .tonight is a good example for why rebound is our life .we still need 7-feet players in paint .Laker didn't act well from downtown ,but they got a lot of 2+1 in our paint ,which is why we were down almost 40 when 3rd quarter ended .we can't play small when we were against all-round developed team ,like lakers .they got space to adjust ,we didn't !so just stop talking something like "are we better without yao ?"or "we won 4 games in a row against lakers when yao is out ".....stop putting those trash threads onto the forum ,its meaningless !As long as yao is healthy ,we sure gonna need him !tonight game was not shameful ,it is what it meant to be when yao is out .the only thing we learn tonight is we need height to protect the paint !!!
The matchups we have to keep are: Battier on Kobe Hayes or Artest on Gasol Everything else is patchwork. But some things we know. 1. Landry cannot defend anybody. He would be best matched up with Bynum since Bynum is messed up physically. 2. Artest and Hayes have to be matched up on Gasol/Odom. They can switch on and off on the Gasol/Odom combo but when Hayes is out there, it should primarily be Hayes on Gasol and Artest on Odom. Then if Hayes goes out with fouls, Artest has to switch to Gasol and we gotta get Scola in on Odom. Artest and Scola can experiment with switching off if Odom starts going off on Scola. I actually like that lineup to start the game. It means we got Lowry stuck on Ariza but I'll take that. Lowry is tough as nails and Ariza's game is based on spotting up for the 3 ball and running the break. Lowry is faster/qucker than him. I think he could negate Ariza and the Lakers would be wanting to go to Ariza because of the size mismatch. I think this could go in our favor. Yes, that leaves Hayes on Gasol. And Hayes is a great defender on Gasol. One of the big keys in Game 5 was that ticky tacky 2nd foul call on Hayes. Before that, he was actually playing Gasol very well. I have no problem with Hayes defending Gasol and since we are at home, hopefully the calls will go our way a bit better. That 2nd foul call on Hayes was NOT a foul. But it took him to the bench for Landry and it was downhill for us from there. Landry CANNOT defend Gasol. If we start this lineup, it means we could come off the bench with Scola, Landry, Wafer, and BBarry. And I like that especially when the Lakers sit down Kobe and Gasol. Kobe and Gasol go out. Exit Battier and Artest. And bring in Scola or Landry and either Wafer or Barry. That is the matchups that will give us the best chance of winning.
Very well put, I don't know, but I feel that Joey should have played in garbage time to see what he's made of, but hopefully it won't come to that next game. How do you feel about that?
my reason for this line up is because if you have ever played basketball, you know that if you cant keep up with your opponets speed, you tend to get exhausted and your whole game is depleated. If we can out run them and make them keep up with our pace, i can almost bet their offense will look alot worse. We may have a disadvantage at height but we have an advantage at speed and endurance.
