you guys really think we won game 4 because we were really that good?
No...!!! NBA knows we will lose the series anyway after Yao is out! That's why they let us win game 4 so they can make more money from world wide telecast and box office! If LA win game 4, the series will end today!
    NBA fix the games!!!
    this year's final...KOBE VS JAMES!!!!
    wait and see!

I was at that Mavs game 7 and that was worse, just because of the circumstances, with Yao and T-mac and coming off that high of game 6 in Houston.

Tonight was just one of those nights where no shots were falling, open jumpers and I can't recall how many buckets in the paint rimmed out.

Man up and go home and try to hold the fort. The Bynum Gason combo down low is just so tough for our bigs.

We need to swing the ball around quicker if they're going to zone up on Brooks, but we gotta make some shots and limit the turnovers. It was pathetic how many balls we mishandled in the high post.

Let's leave everything on that floor on thursday and try to force a game 7.

Both teams now know how it feels to get blown out by the other. Bottom line - which team is going to suck it up and play to their capabilities? You can moan and groan about the officials and missed calls, or poor shooting and fundamentals - but you still got to lace of the Reeboks and go out and take the next two games. My money's on the Rocks for Thurday night and then on Sunday for Game 7.

You just realized outside shooters can be streaky? We had a dominant post player who's not streaky through is career, and you think we are much better without him? Stupid.

    Well that was embarrassing.

The Rockets should be ashamed of themselves.

I dont know if this has been said but...

Laker players, other than Kobe and Gasol, need a confidence boost. Those players get it when they are able to get easy buckets and fast breaks. Once that happens it seems like their outside shots seem to magically get better. Like the start of the game it was only about the inside and Gasol/Bynum. After those dumb TO's and dumb shots that miss horrible shots(especially by Artest). All of a sudden the rest of the team caught on fire. Also it seems like playing this way effects the Rockets a lot. All of the Rocket's players seem to lose their confidence when this happens. All of a sudden those open shots they normally make dont go in anymore. Those shots they were making in game 4 weren't going in tonight.

They have to play smart and limit their TO's. No more dumb shots no more one on one play for Artest on the wing. That is the only chance they have of winning.
Well that and Chuck not getting into foul trouble. He is the only one that can guard Gasol and Bynum. He is the only player on the team that can guard either of them. So lets hope Odom starts again.

This reminded me of game 7 vs Dallas. This is sad, i am at shock, and in embarrassment..how do we play such a great game and come in this game and lose by 40?

Whatever happens from here on in the Rockets have proven to belong among the elite teams in the NBA- with Yao in the line up of course. It was/is a good run and I salute the heart of this team. Now, will you Rockets players please go all out in the next game. At least give some good hard fouls to Vujacic, Bryant, Fisher and Walton, you know, sort of something to remember about this series.

That`s why its a 7 game series.. teams get blown out sometimes.. u did it to us game 4 we did it to u in game 5.. but its a 7 game thing and no one will ever remember or care about u guys being able to beat us in game 4 the way u did.. I know the rockets are missing so many guys.. but believe me bro.. in this league no one cares.. I know I dont care.. for 1 reason.. Last season we were missing some key players and when we got blown out in the finals NO ONE FELT SORRY FOR US! I MEAN NO ONE.. and the celtics celebrated that championship and they didnt give a damn about our missing guys..thats the way things go in the NBA.. so u just have to go with what u got and try to move on.. :)

The combination of the Rockets coming out flat and with their stars missing along with the fact that LA came out firing after a 11-4 Rockets lead.

wait, on TNT they said this was rockets' worst loss in playoffs ever, but wasn't this a 40 point loss just like the Game 7 against the Mavs?

this game was disappointing, but it was definitely an expected possibility. hope we can win game 6

No, they were asking if it was the worst loss, then they asked if Kenny was a part of it.

Then they pulled up the 2005 Mavs series.

they decided to put two 7 footers against our small lineup.
seriously I love Scola and Hayes, but that's too much to ask for your PFs to outplay 2 centers every game.

The only way we had a chance without Yao was with a quicker defense and toughness. Today, the Lakers went bigger to exploit our lack of size and we played soft today. We weren't the "pitbulls" today.

Instead, we just jacked up 3 after 3, turned the ball over and over again, and let this game get out of hand.

I know the Rockets are overmatched now, BUT that doesn't mean we can't play with a little bit more fire and toughness. We didn't even look to attack the paint early. The offense looked great when the shots were going in, but this isn't a great offense to run. They need to run RA's offense, which gets you open layups, not jack up the 1st 3 pointer they see.

RA is going to have a lot of work to do just to be competetive. They've made me proud, but we just need to give a better effort and pay attention to details.
