Somebody should change the title of this thread to "Tonight is just not a basketball game".

We played free & easy and reacted. In other words playing with house money.

This approach should be balanced with intensity and expectation of success.

There are tactical moves I would have done differently as well. Maybe a little bit more post up of Artest, Scola, & Landry

No I looked it up in the dictionary and over dramatic is exactly the phrase I'm looking for.

I expected so much more from this team. I am just shocked by the outcome. Talk about a reversal.

You have to hand it to the Lakers, they completely turned the tables and gave us a dose of our own medicine.

If anyone took a lesson from the Houston Rockets, it was the Lakers. They say imitation is the best form of flattery right?

Honestly - it didn't matter how we played, there was no way we were going to beat these guys today. They played up to their potential.

I still think this is a good read, despite the 40 point blowout :D

Where were you in this thread before Game 5 tip-off?

Hindsight personal attacks get more annoying every time people do them.

You could be proud that the players busted their ass every night, including tonight.

You could be proud that the team used no excuses when 50% of the Rockets payroll are in suits.

You could be proud that we pushed the most talented team in the league to 6 games, and possibly 7, when some people didn't even give us a chance to beat Portland.

Sometimes, you just gotta look a little harder. For me, it's pretty obvious, in plain daylight.

Remember, it's not the team's fault when they played over their heads, and you raised your expectations while we lost more talent.

Series is not over, it doesn't look good right now...but remember...we all thought we would lose Game 5...

All we have to do is win one more game at home...then we have as good a chance to upset the Lakers...in just one night anything can happen.

Kobe's said that a 1 pt loss is just as bad as a 40 pt loss. Somehow I think he was playing mind games with us. A 40 pt loss seems worse. They were trying to prove a point.

If this is a series, let's adjust and win. We can't do the same thing as game 5.

busted their ass? i'm sorry, i just didn't see that.

play smart? i couldn't see that, either.

maybe i have too much emotions and pride invested in a team that bears the name of "the houston rockets"; or maybe my expectation (which was a close and competitive game, win or lose) was too high.

i will still root for them as always. but a 40pt loss in the playoffs is embarrassing. i was very disappointed tonight.
