give the lakers some credit *******. they were the best team this year for a reason. they now respect us and finally played their best.

our guys will regroup and play better. and obviously, playing without your 2 best players are gonna hurt on the road.

They made adjustment, knowing Rockets have ZERO shot blocking or shot altering ability inside. It really has not too much with at home.

It took 3 quarters for Lakers to realize that. The last quarter in game 4 was a very good indication.

Are you seriously implying this team is better without Yao. Jesus christ you T-Mac only fans are exactly the same, give everybody else credit but Yao. Give Yao the blame except for everybody else. Are you still wondering why Tracy gets a pounding all the time? It's just the way stars are treated.

they're shooting 51% for the game. they shot 48% v. us in the reg. season. it's not a big deal.

    we're shooting 34%. that's why we're losing.

we're NOT better without yao. but we can play without yao. we've proven it the past 4 years. just b/c we got beaten by the best team in the L on the road FOR ONE GAME without him does not mean we're a terrible team without yao. we have a bunch of youngsters on this team; a bunch of guys who now got the attention of the best team in the west after the media destroyed them for game 4, so yea, i'm sure the lakers came out fired up wanting to put a whupping on us and they did.

we have to respond. they defended their homecourt.

and you're the guy who doesn't like to call posters a "..... fan" and you just did yourself. take your advice and post something constructive.

Err I visit the Lakers forum often. There's tons of Kobe criticism. Ranging from his defense on Battier to unwillingness to drive to the basket are the current ones. After a loss is when he gets criticized the most.

Lets say Kobe gets injured and his team goes on to win 22 games without him, do you think that some Laker fans might say they are better without Kobe? Or if they start dominating good teams without him don't you think that question would arise again?

They were shooting better than that through 3 quarters, and don't discount 33 FTs through 3 quarters, those are not counted towards FG %, but points per shot is way higher than normal.

Well at least you aren't as bad as the other guy. I agree with your post, but we are more use to Yao being the #1 option then T-Mac now. Especially with the new players on our team.

    LOL!

Yeah people, we are not better without Yao, simple as that. As a matter of fact, with a HEALTHY t-mac we are also better than without him. Unfortunately, we have them both in the bench and our HOF backup center out too.

And on offensive end, Yao was taken for granted so much by you people.

Scola rarely has open looks without Yao now, and open looks for the entire team just seems rare without Yao drawing so much attension.

We hardly score inside, shooting low percentage is not a surprise.

well, you don't think they would respond with their best game after being murdered on national TV and destroyed by the media? a team with kobe bryant as its leader?

once again, they defended their homecourt. let's go back to houston and see if they can do it again. i have confidence we'll bring it to game 7.

we'll regroup. obviously yao would have helped tremendously. but he's not here. we won without him in game 4. we just lost without him in game 5. let's try to win without him again.

we need 2 things, low post scoring (yao) and a playmaker who creates his shots kinda like kobe (tmac). 2010 will be a good year :)

you're better suited to respond to what the post says, rather than calling them fans of whoever if you disagree. it doesn't make for good discussion.

again, we obviously miss yao. and we obviously miss mcgrady. and we obviously miss deke. that's 3 key players for us.

but we have proven to be able to play without those guys. ONE DAMN GAME isn't the end of the world. give our guys some damn credit. losing to the best team on the road isn't something terrible.

They're also killing us in 3pts, Reb, Assists, TO, Steals, Blks, and we're forced to foul more which gives them more FTs. But other than that, we're doing just fine.
