I know Yao somehow has butterfingers, but you just cant say a player who average 20pt a season "cannot catch"

Yao is a good low post scorer when he doesn't face certain defenses. The problem is, Yao plays the same way regardless of what defense he faces which is why he is so inconsistent. The Lakers went small in game 2 and Rockets continued to force feed Yao the ball which led to TOs and stagnate offense. The Rockets won game 4 without Yao because the Lakers continued to play small which worked well against Yao but not when Yao is out. Now, the Lakers go back to playing big and expose the Rockets lack of size without Yao. Without Yao, the Rockets stand no chance to counter the Lakers size.

Tonight's game is a perfect example that this team needs the MOST DOMINANT BIG MAN in the line up. Game 4 was a once in a million game for the Rockets, but in 95% of games, they need YAO.

The Rox heart and hustle can only go so far. They need a SUPERSTAR of Yao's skill and heart to carry them. I just realize how much SPACING he gives to his teammates. When he's in the game, guys are at least 1 1/2 steps away from the perimeter players. Scola and Landry gets WIDE OPEN looks. And defensively, without Yao, it's like the 10 Fwy to the hoop.

Houston fans doesn't deserve Yao, bring him to a team that would appreciate him for the DOMINANT player that he is.

Geez, people, the guy played basically on a broken foot for 3 quarters and still had a double-double.

That's a good one, I have a bridge that I can sell ya

Then the only place Yao can go to is the CBA because no matter which NBA team he is goes to, he will be criticized. Even players like Kobe gets criticized often and he's a way better basketball player than Yao.

Yeah Yao Ming is such a bad defender, that Lakers scored 90 plus points through 3 quarters........without him.

As far as I know, Kobe isn't often criticized by LA fans. They stood by his side during the rape trial, and even when he single-handedly sabotaged their 2003 playoff run. Most of the criticism for Kobe comes from national media.
Even if Laker fans do criticize Kobe, they never spew BS claims that the team is somehow better without him.
