haha i submitted that around a second after you submitted your recap. i was waiting to see what radio he was on, but i guess you were busy typing away. thanks for recap
This thread reminds me of Artest getting ejected because of reputation. Let's not jump the gun based on prior experiences, or we're no better than Crawford.
I got more slack when I called Hakeem overrated in 1996!! But then again, there were only 4 people here so....and I was drunk....and stupid.... Lets get this baby up to at least 3 stars!
Hey he did Bill Simmons podcast today too guys. Really insightful stuff into the state of the NBA today. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/simmons/index
Thanks for the recap. It's really interesting to listen to Jeff's talking about the old Knicks vs the Bulls series, from the other side of the line
Thanks for the recap. The line about if he had a gun to his head he'd grab the gun and shoot the guy is hilarious. I wish I could hear this live.
Also, JVG is a huge Tmac apologist, and i think many members of this forum should take heed of some of his words
Shane did a great job with his shooting in Game 4, but he has never had a 17-18 point season. His highest was 14.4 in his debut season in 01-02.
Somebody should ask him why he keeps giving opposing teams hints on how to beat the Rockets. He is always talking about our players weaknesses.
i like how JVG said Morey should be thrown in the 2010 names because of how important he is. im pretty sure morey isnt going nywhere, at least LES better make sure and lock him down!
If you listened to the podcast... JVG said he would seriously consider being an assistant coach before taking a head coaching job. Very interesting...
well i think he was being humble, he says the reason for this is because he doesnt think he would get hired as he blew away two 2-0 series in the playoffs, he thinks he would have to work his way up, but come on, JVG would be a GREAT coach, especially compared to a lot of the guys out there, any team would hire him. im sure jVG is biding his time, waiting for the best job where he could win a championship. i think his best chances are to coach kobe, lebron, or dwade. if lebron wins this year, i think mike brown is there to stay for at least 5 years, so prob wont happen with him. phil jackson will be bored/done soon so that job should open up. spoelstra prob wont last long unless miami gets real good real fast so that job may open up soon as well. van gundy has put in his time, i really hope both him and adelman get a ring one day, hopefully RA will get one with us! listening to this podcast makes me realize that the rox have been very lucky with coaches. part of that is that its a great job with les plus we have good players who draw big names in, but just looking at our las three - rudy t, jvg, RA, all three of them will be or already are in the hall of fame.
