Everytime I hear him talk, I keep thinking of someone who takes something mundane and simple and makes it seem like nuclear physics.

"The water................ you see................... was coming down FROM...... the sky.

    *hand motions*

    And we were getting......

    WET

    *perks up in seat*

you see.... we learned THAT day... umbrella... yes... umbrella......."

    No @*&% Magic.

Haha DoD. Yeah, he does do all that. Just saying that usually he's making a decent point while doing so. He speaks clearly and intelligently too unlike Barkley, for instance.

I guess I just use Barkley as the barometer for how to rate these analysts considering he's the biggest name and most accomplished out of all of them. Well, besides Magic. I guess my logic is if you're the biggest name or most accomplished you carry the most weight and credibility. If that makes any sense.

Every time Magic refers to the Lakers he actually says "WE."
what a homer. I know he owns part of the team and that is why he should not be broadcasting for a national program.

There's a difference between bias and impartiality.

Everyone should know by now that Magic is a Laker great and still involved with the organization to this day, so of course he refers to the Lakers as "we." Yes, he favors the Lakers, but so what? Other analysts have favorites, why can't he? I've been watching Inside the NBA for a long time now, and he's always been fair and objective with his analysis. If the Lakers play like crap, he's the most critical, and he never diminishes the accomplishments of the opposing team.

Magic is not that bad -- he has improved dramatically over the years.
