    why is everybody hating on steve francis all of a sudden. he isn't nearly the player he will be but he is already one of the best players in the league. i've heard people talkin bout makin ming the focal point of the team, are you guys serious? HE IS DESTINED FOR MEDICORITY. please people, drafting ming is a mistake but thinkin he is the answer is just ridiculous.

    Hey Possum how you gonna knock a brother's intellect when you haven't posted an original idea on this board (at least that I've read). At least I have the vision and INTELLECT to dare to be different and want my team to be awesome in a couple years. I'm gonna kill the Ming hating cause it seems futile at this point cause the Rocks are takin that delegation out there. I want it to be known that I have faith in whatever Houston does and that it will be the best for the organization in the long run. What I think most of you fail to realize is that Houston is one great center away from competitiveness or a couple smaller awesome players away from competitiveness. We can get the smaller players NOW and be competitive in 2-3 years or we can get the center now and maybe be competitive in 5-6 and thats not what i want. Anyway, I'm just gonna have faith.

    Well I think that we are trying to draft a great center. Nice of you to prove the point of drafting Ming although it seems to go against your opinion.....You know what they say.... "You need to stand for something or you will fall for anything"

    Is he great right now...no
    Will Ming be great in the future....possibly
    Can Ming help the Rockets now(not 2-3 years down the road)..yes

    And just who might these smaller player be that you are refering to?

    If we trade Ming for anybody , they better be named Brand, Duncan, Shaq, or Garnett.

    Cuz saying Ming will be mediocre (which is what I assume medicority is) is an original idea. No one has posted that on the board before.......:rolleyes:

    Okay listen. I DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF DRAFTING MING. I WILL STAND BY THAT FOREVER. But, I've been a Rockets fan all of my life and I've seen them butcher some draft choices before. I love the Rockets and I love Houston. Ming will be mediocre and I do think that we can turn what we have into an opportunity to be great again. The whole idea of my reply was to say that I have faith that the org. will do the right think and if not they'll get it right eventually. I just don't want to sound negative ALL the time.
