Do American media rarely care about Rocket's game?
well,I'm from China, where Rockets get lots of fans.
CCTV,known as China Central T.V, have a lot of Rocket's game.
every player of Rocket is loved! I love especially Shane and Motomubo.
Shane is a kind guy and Motomubo's voice is really amzing!
    ahaha.. :p

    This is good.

I love how Phil Jackson had to be the one to tell the media to give us some ****ing credit. They won't listen.

Even if we win this series, it will be because the Lakers "choked," and they'll all pick Denver to just be too much for us to handle.

It only helps us if the players on opposing teams buy into it.

This has made my night... I have just watched yesterdays game for the third time in two days plus I watched the shortened version in the middle of the night on espn.

    I love this team...

and for the first time ever I agree with Charles Barkley, if you don't enjoy watching this team then you don't like basketball.

and for the first time ever I agree whole heartedly with Richard Justice... and he made it into my sig!

people keep asking me if I honestly believe this team can beat the Lakers and I keep saying you can't ever predict the outcome of sporting events, but I can predict that this team will leave everything on the court. They aren't going to come in with a half arsed effort. They will hustle and work hard and bleed if necessary to try and win the game.

That is why I love this team!

Bring it on you smug Lakers fans and even more smug media and the most smug of all Lakers organization.

We don't need to be respected by any of you by our reputation, we will earn it by beating you down on the court.

    Go Rockets!

I have 2 letters for Lakers fans, the first one is F. The second is U.

Just kidding...good post BTW. Reading a little bit from Laker's forums pre-series, they clearly lived in a bubble. They thought Bynum would negate Yao. They thought Hayes was a 12th man. They thought Ron was still the same guy he was years ago. They predicted this series in 4, 5 at most. They thought we were lucky to beat Portland.

Worst of all, they thought the Rockets weren't that tough and didn't have much heart. Supposedly game 1 was a fluke, and the Lakers fans took offense that the Rockets played hard and actually thought they could win.

And then game 4 happens and now their bubble is finally burst.

I stuck the word in the quote... awesome. One of the best posts I've read here in years, and I've read a few. It tempts me to say, "Good job, Fran," but you'd be insulted. Even that was hard to type. I've been angry with Fran for 23 years. So I'll end with thank you for a great read.

Oh, and I added some salad to DD's shamrock.

agreed, just read your post and usually i dont read long long posts like that, but yours was different and insightful, it's the truth...most ppl only go by what they see in the media and the media is all kobe, lebron, wade, cp3, u really dont know or hear much about houston bc we dont have a really flashy player that makes highlight reels, but houston fans who see them night in and night out know how this team is able to get it done...great post, national media and fans...are usually very ignorant.

Here's some quotes from a story just posted by the AP. Apparently the Lakers simply did not want to win. That was their problem.

Gasol said, “We can’t take for granted that because we’re better individually or maybe collectively that we can play 70, 80 percent."
Gasol said the Lakers were “outhustled and outplayed and we could have won if we really wanted to.”

Well your detailed post was very necessary. The LA fans need to learn what's outside the Matrix, point by point.

I only wonder if the actual Lakers themselves have learned.

No, I'm not Fran. Not even a "writer." Just a Rockets fan all the way back to Robert Reed and Sleepy Floyd. Usually with little to say... as you can see by my post count. Just had to get that out of my head. But I do genuinely appreciate the positive comments.

So in other words, you're saying you're having Lakers war feelings?

A great post! Goes to show you that the western media cannot and should not be trusted, in the sports world of course. :)
Our team unity is the best!

I definitely think that is true. Even while they watch this series Im sure they just watch Kobe the entire time.

Whenever they show highlights of a game in this series, its nothing but an outline of every shot Kobe made.

You'd think they would have realized that the Rockets are not an average team, they are a damn good team and arguably the 2nd best team in the West.

Rockets blow the Lakers out of the stadium and what? Lakers didnt try, they didnt have the effort, they let the Rockets win...

    Its pathetic.

    Lol.

Thats pretty funny. In China, the Rockets must be the marquee team.

In the U.S. the media treats them as irrelevant.
