X-rays of Lamar's head revealed absolutely nothing.

I don't understand how people are happy when a player gets hurt. It isn't funny when our players get hurt is it? Show some class guys or at least some self restraint. Probably all these years karma has been riding our asses because of a few of you guys.

You don't feel sorry for the other guy when you are trying to KO your opponent. You can feel "sorry" after you KOed and won.

    oh come on.

fans will always be happy about an advantage. i will never root for a person to be hurt, but if they can't play against my team then there is nothing wrong with being happy about that.

besides, rocket fans have no sympathy when it comes to other teams injuries. i'd like to see all remaining playoff teams play the rest of the season without their best 2 players, and without their backup center. it would be a guaranteed championship for the rockets.

Odom is game-time decision for Tuesday

LOS ANGELES -- Lakers starting forward Lamar Odom has a bruised back and has been listed as doubtful by his team for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Houston Rockets.

Odom, who fell awkwardly while attempting to drive during the third quarter of Sunday's surprise 99-87 loss to the Rockets in Houston, had a CT scan and MRI on Monday morning.

The scan showed he had a lower back contusion, and a final decision on his ability to play will be made before Tuesday morning's shootaround, the Lakers said on their Web site.

Los Angeles is tied 2-2 with Houston in their Western Conference semifinal series after squandering a golden opportunity to go 3-1 up against a Rockets team missing the pivotal Yao Ming because of injury.

Chinese center Yao broke his left foot in Friday's loss to the Lakers, but Houston shrugged off his absence by outplaying the top-seeded Lakers on Sunday.

"We just happened to play probably our worst game of the year," Odom told reporters. "It hurts. We got beat.

"Now we go back home. Hopefully I will be able to help the team on Tuesday."

I hope Odom plays and leads LA to their third "worst game of the season" in this series.

Before this series began, I thought that Yao would eat Bynum's lunch, and Lakers are better off starting Lamar Odom.

    I was right.

Now that Yao is out, Lakers have great matchup advantage when they start both Bynum and Gasol.

    I hope I'm wrong.

The only way he will be a factor in this game is if they give him a steroid injection or some other major pain relief medicine.

Otherwise, he will not be able to drive to the hoop and jump. He will be a non-factor. I'm not as athletic as those guys, but my contusion was awful.

I feel bad for him, but I don't feel bad for the Lakers.

Yea I doubt he plays game 5. Sportscenter said X-rays showed a "bruised back" and that he wasn't even at practice yesterday. They dont expect him to do anything before the game physically except have people work on his back. The less length the Lakers trot out there the better
