Morey using NBA Live '09 for game planning has been discussed before: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=154296
More like ESPN was plugging itself, talking about the "ESPN DNA". They also prompted the response since they asked something like "I heard you use NBA Live '09 with ESPN DNA...".
I never saw that thread until now. I guess the idea of evaluating players based on their video game ratings isn't so laughable now. This could revolutionize knee-jerk trade threads.
I cant stand all of the stupid hosts and guests of that show. even with the way we won yesterday, all they talk about is how lakers and cavs will match up, how better of a team lakers is over us. unbelievable~
Nice of Morey to let everyone know how they try to defend Bryant. That couldn't have waited until after the series?
He didn't say anything. He simply said we measure x, y, and z, but didn't say which shot they want Bryant to take.
Yeah, thats EA sport's job. and, to the comment on video game ratings being the basis of scouting, EA just introduced this DNA thing for NBA Live. Every day, they download the stats from every player who plays that day, the their shot percentages from every place on the court, decisions to drive vs decisions to shoot or pass... all kinds of things. It's freaking insane.
