Bosh is too much finesse and settles for jumpers too often for my taste, especially given his great athletic ability. Not considering health, etc., it's Yao by a mile.

I'd have to watch a few more Toronto games to decide. I can't say I'm informed enough about the in's and out's of his game to really make a call. But on paper he seems to have the goods for a compelling argument.

It is a problem. Bosh is too soft, doesn't work hard enough on the defensive end, and doesn't block shots. I think he could improve his defense with the Rockets. He really doesn't care in Toronto. He just makes another superstar that wants out of Toronto.

CB4 is soft and a jump shooter. Can't you see Raptors couldn't even make to playoff?

I voted yao, i actually don´t like Bosh, he is a very overrated player, he gets owned vy virtually any big with some technique, i remember Scola and Landry both posting spectacular games on him.

Sam, if I can borrow your crystal ball and see how healthy each player will turn out, I'll make a choice. ;)

Give it up, as long as Yao Ming will be in the NBA, he will be a rocket.

Now just for fun? I would rather Yao. He has a great attitude, shown he can lead a team, and is very improved on defense. Taking injuries in consideration, I might say Bosh.

Either way the argument is very irrevalent.

If you are assuming the same coach and same offence, Chris Bosh stands a better chance.

    How's Bosh defence anyway?

Even if Bosh played better that him, Yao brings in more money to this Team/Business than Bosh could Imagine. At this point Yao is a dollar sign first and a player second.

Yao by a country mile. This is a complete insult to Yao Ming as well.

Chris Bosh is the softest player in the world. Yes softer than T-Mac and Vince Carter as well.

I think Bosh would fit Adelman's system a lot better than Yao. That would have to be factored in all of the arguments.

hmmm.....I'd chooose...........Pikachu. Not. Yao Ming all the way, man. I know it's really frustrating to see Yao get injured that past few years, but he still hasn't really peaked yet....his situation reminds me of Mickey Mantle, Mantle had a lot of problems with his knees (correct me if I'm wrong) over the length of his entire career, but he played through the pain and ended up becoming one of the greatest Center Fielders of all time. Realistically, I think Yao will have to deal with some minor injuries in the future, but with his drive and attitude I know he'll play through the pain just like Mantle....Yao's still got the potential to be GREAT, Bosh is a very good player, but Yao has so much more to offer (he's the best Center in the entire 'L', hands down, he's already better than Top 50 Player/HOFer Robert Parish, his pride and work ethic indicates that the best has yet to come for Yao). True, there have been a lot of bumps on the road, and Yao's career mirrors a very rough rugged road, but the same can be said about life in general....just because life gets hard and beats you down, it doesn't mean you should just throw in the towel and quit...perseverance is what separates the average joe from a man with the heart of a champion. Yao all the way

I voted Yao because he has been awesome for Houston. That vote comes from the heart.

But realistically, Yao is injury prone and we almost certainly see another injury to him.

Yes, but i consider him one of the better jump shooting big men in the league. He actually posts up when the game slows down, which draws doubles and gets his teammates easy shots. That's more than i can say for a guy like Amare Stoudemire who only scores facing up. He also rotates well on defense despite lacking the size to be dominant on that end (at least at center).

...and the Raptors have a terrible team around him so i wouldn't expect them to make the playoffs. However, i still say Yao is a better player. I just think considering health and age Bosh would be a better option at this point...and his versatility would allow us to rebuild on the fly since he doesn't need specific types of players around him to be successful.

IMO bosh may not be the post player yao is, but he's still a better scorer. yao can be denied the ball, bosh can step out to get it then face and score, in addition to his post game. bosh gives you all of the offense, with none of the defensive liabilities.

if you can take into consideration age and health its a no brainer.

i know bosh can't play center, but i'd still trade yao for him straight up, then trade someone else for a C. greater offense, greater defense, greater health in that situation.

Bosh is not nearly as good as Yao Ming.
