I agree. This will forever go down as.. THE MOTHER'S DAY MASSACRE Thanks, Lakers fans, for coining the phrase for us!
i guess the lakers players must be terribly frustrated. they keep assuming we are just gonna give it to them. only when they realize they have to take it from us will they be able to put us away. they may not have the collective intestinal fortitude. their fans surely don't.
That's funny they'd diss us for having scrubs, when they're fielding a completely washed up Fisher, 5 ppg stud Vujacic, Shannon Brown, and Josh Powell. They've got Kobe and Gasol. They've got serviceable guys in Walton, Odom, and Ariza - none of which are particularly remarkable at this point. Then you have Bynum who is looking more and more like he'll never make good on his potential. That's it - and it looks a lot like they peaked in the regular season. The Cavs would kill them if they played right now. Evan
Yeah, I do love the line about half our roster not being able to make an NBA team. What half are they talking about? Our former Euroleague MVP or our former PAC-10 scoring champ? Perhaps our 2nd round diamond in the rough or our trade deadline acquisition who was never really given a chance on his last team. Surely they can't be talking about our ultimate glue guy team player who consistently ranks in the top 5-10 in plus/minus rating. Guess that leaves the ol' Chuck Wagon. Too bad he's punking Gasol. Oh wait... wasn't he the SEC Defensive Player of the Year? At least give us our due. We've got a talented, well-coached, and well-managed team that will be part of the conversation for years to come, no matter what happens to our wayward stars. Only Lakers fans could be so arrogant.
While I was reading that, I looked for an update on Odom. Didn't find one, but I was shocked to find four separate people calling Battier a dirty player for that play, and two of them calling for his blood. They said it was an "undercut." Yep. Good stuff. Undercut: *Insert Malone vs. Nachbar clip, which I can't find at the moment* Not an undercut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2DdckaOAB0
If half our team "can't make another roster".... and the Lakers keep losing to us.... What does that say about the Lakers?
its more of an insult to the lakers so that's saying a team full of undrafted NCAA players or D-leaguer's can beat the almighty lakers?
If SouthPark is any indication then yes, Magic does have the cure for AIDS and he finally shares it with Kyle and Cartman. http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/163542/ 15 minutes, 35 seconds in.
You people sound like a bunch of kids - learn some respect for one of the greatest players of all time. If he's a Lakers homer, fine - that's his opinion and choice as a person. Don't go insulting him because he has HIV and being a bunch of asses about it.
Exactly.. you may not believe me.. but I never thought the Lakers had a deep team since the beginning of the season. Always thought it was just Kobe winning games for them.. Gasol/Odom are both soft and everyone else on their bench is not that great.. Rockets bench on the other hand is fantastic.....
QFT. I have a lot of respect for Magic and what he has done for the community and being a positive figure for HIV patients.
It's difficult for me to not like kobe. Here is a guy that embraces physical basketball. He said so himself after game 2.."It's great basketball, reminds me of 80's ball." You'll will never ever (wags finger) see kobe barking at the refs after a missed shot. Never! (add sarcastic smiley, like 5 of them)
