http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so3zN...eature=related Start it at about 1:10. T-Mac: "He said, 'I'm better than Mike, I'm better than Mike right now, I'm gonna be better than Mike..." Interesting.
Sorry about that, I copied and pasted it wrong Here's the Link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so3zN9jkoPI&feature=related
Well, everybody has his own opinion, and Kobe is obligated to have his own. Kobe just needs to know that his opinion is dead wrong.
You can't be a superstar or a great player without "the ego". That ego is what elevates the superstars from the stars. And instead of TMac believing he is better than Jordan, he is the one telling tales
McGrady is just telling a story about way back when he and Kobe were friends. Kobe used to brag that he's better than Jordan at the time. We'd talking about a 17 or 18 year old kid. Not a big deal. That self-confidence is what made Kobe the player he is.
We are not talking about great or good players, but icons and superstars. I didn't say arrogance, i said ego. And if you must know Phil Jackson said Jordan was wayyyyyyyy more arrogant than Kobe. I'm sure some of that filtered down to Pippen. I had an opportunity to be around Lebron during the allstar game n that fool thinks his sh** don't stink. Hakeem had ego, remember what he did to David Robinson and why he did it
Or how he'd get visibly angry at his teammates when they didn't get him the ball. Or his feuding with the Rockets over the years over his contract.
lol good point. Now only if yao and tmac had a little ego, maybe things will be better. Although i'm sure if both of them showed up next season with really big egos, everyone will probably laugh at them, somethings u can't just go out and buy overnight.
He's talking about Kobe saying things when he was a teenager -- no way he still has that same opinion. Bryant's teen trash talking is far removed from Kobe at 30 at the end of his career trying to get one ring on his own.
Even if he still thinks it, having that self-confidence makes him a monster on the court. Kobe being a punk is a different matter.
