    people just don't get it.

Today what you saw was a team that learned to play finally by facing a challenge. The succeeded, the grew. For this, they are an even better team.

And for this...when Yao and T-mac return, they will be a great team.

im not sure if we can judge that from one game, but i will say we get into our offense much quicker. too much time is spent and wasted trying to get yao the ball. im not saying that's what shouldnt happen. we gotta get him the ball, but i cant remember one time today when we were threatened with a shot clock violation...but i need to watch the game again

Awesome! For those who gave up on us since hearing the news about Yao - at least let us fight the fight first.

Now you know there is still some bite in the dog yet!

Good post for the past couple games with the Fakers, Rockets struggled and kept on force feeding Yao every position which led to many turnovers. Now since Yao is out they are playing freely with nothing to lose with more heart and determination to win.

WOW! Just have to say it again.. WOW!. Without our two centers and T-mac the Rockets have tied the series. Still don't see the Rockets winning the series but this gives me hope and makes the next game must see TV. I'll bet a lot of people didn't even bother to tune in to today's game figuring the Rockets had no chance without Yao. Couldn't be happier at this moment. Go Rockets!!!

This is a team that didn't have any baggage in their shoulders. Now they are totally relaxed and they played like there were no tomorrow.

That's the difference. It's not because of Yao's absence. When Yao were there, they also had good games with low TOs.

Tonight two players stepped up - how many times that happen? Yao's contribution was basically night-in and night-out.

Cold-hearted fans don't deserve great players.

    Fourth Quarter Pressure

Today, I was slightly worried at how we held out in the fourth quarter.
Problem isn't when we are up by 1 or when we are up by 20, but rather when we are up by lets say 10 with 3 minutes left.

It's during these times that we play hectic basketball that focus on trying to drain as much time as possible rather than going for high percentage shots. Usually it results in either a 24 second violation, a bad shot selection, or a turnover. No one on our team can create a shot for themselves, and I certainly don't want Ron Artest or Aaron brookes trying to force a play.

Instead of trying to force up a play at last second, why not try to get more motion later into shotclock (like as in 14 seconds left) instead of trying to dribble it down to 3 seconds and then creating a play. Also, I noticed that when they trapped early with Gasol at half court, we were more worried about trying to play the clock rather than trying to score.

Although playing to the clock has favored us this time, I can only think back to the bulls game or numerous other games where other teams started to pressure the ball and we folded.

Defensively, we also get real sloppy and scramble around. Hopefully we won't see any of those come from behind wins that plagued us in the regular season.

The 4th quarter is a problem for us. We lack that talented closer that can come up big in the end. Morrey get D Wade.

Phil was experimenting with strategy to use for game 5...I hope the Rockets saw that...hopefully we'll adjust accordingly or execute better

I was also cringing behind my sheets in the final mins of the 4th. ROckets need to some how execute more effectively in the closing mins. I know it was an impressive win in all but we were up basically by 30 points and they cut it down to 10 less than 3 mins left. Oh Well I'll still take it. ROCKETS BABY!!

Never back down the sequel.. Geez what a game..I love underdog stories and this has got to be the biggest David Goliath in recent history..

I sat next to Tracy Mcgrady's brother, I felt bad for him because there was this drunk lady talking maaaaaaad **** about Tracy right behind him. She calmed down after a while because his wife was wearing a Kobe jersey so she started raggin' on her..

Great win though. Crowd was Ruckus..Best game I've ever been too along with the 22 win vs LA.

wow they really should feel embarrassed if magic calls them out like that...

i wonder if that'll motivate kobe and fish to beast nxt game...

but then again...magic is a homer; maybe we should get hakeem to tell us what a great job we did..
