what make yao so weak physically?
a big man with 40+min per game in playoffs??
which C of the league need to play so long?

btw, yao actually don't want to stay in houston in his next contract。。
‘cause what he want is a ring ..
I'd like to see yao with D-wade in knicks in 2010 :D

Bahaha... classic. I wish we had some of that truth spoken by the media here. Of course they might never work in this town again if they actually told the truth.

Thanks for posting that interview, that was awesome.

the problem is it will never happen. yao makes les too much money. les will keep him on this team as long as yao wants to play in the nba. they will keep the team competitive as long as they dont go over the LT. perpetual mediocrity until yao retires. buckle up.

I think Yao is in the thought that his time in the NBA is like 4 more years at most because I am not sure he wants to continue dealing with his foot problems longer than that. Les is a business man and Yao is a basketball player with dreams. Yao is not short of money so he can leave and take less and go to a team that can give him a quality backup center and elite perimeter player.

My brother and I had this very same discussion a few weeks ago. He thinks Yao would choose to stay because of the factors of being drafted a Rocket and wanting his own team. But I think if I was a player serious about getting a championship which I think Yao is, I would leave. JVG said Yao has turned down two max extensions and I think some of the topics touched on in the interview are the reasons why. It isn't an easy choice but sometimes people make sacrifices to inch closer to their dreams.
