    Fight on, I say.

Since Yao is still a rocket, and Houston still has good guys like Shane, Luis, Chuck, etc., I'll continue to root for the Rockets.

Yao was fighting injuries and was only occasionally himself this playoff. He was with health problems this whole season. He is so tough and he stood this long under the blunt illegal attacks by opponents and got no protections from the crooked refs. Hats off to Yao. But if Yao cease playing in the NBA from now on, it won't be one bit of a loss to the NBA. We will continue to have punks worshiping the league protected rapists, drug users/dealers and thugs, or some glorified retired thuggish players because this is really what NBA is about.

The PG trade, Deke's injury and coach's rotation method just made things worse to Yao. When Yao was on the court, few of Yao's teammates were conscious to remember Yao was working hard there, or worse, he was even on the court, and they should make passing the ball to Yao the first priority. It really wasted a lot of Yao's energy, and the team picked up 2 needless losses. Furthermore, it was the direct cause of the worst just happened, and it won't help the Rockets' chance to win in this round.

It is not like Houston has to have Yao. In fact, the Rockets had given up their season by making the PG trade, and the team was just milking on Yao. If the management gave up the season, why not just let Yao take it easier, gave him some more time to get healthy and cure his injuries. The hard work of Yao and his teammates made this season meaningful. The management must curse themselves, "We only thought Yao is a money cow... but we never thought the team had a chance to go deep, must praise the management decisions at all time, and claim all credits we can claim..." There is one more thing left. Let's see if/how the Rockets and Yao part way in the not so distant future.

If Yao continues to play basketball in this league, it won't matter where he will end to his fans. We will follow and support him whereever he plays, be it Houston, Utah or LA, or some place else.

Fight on, Houston Rockets, Yao is still on board.

i dont know what team you were watching but the pg trade made us a championship contender and its not as if brooks ignores yao on purpose its just that hes too damn short and his iq is too low to make that pass...saying we gave up on the season and that we were just milking yao is disrespectful to workhorses like scola and lowry and hayes and landry and artest and everybody else on this team that leave it on the floor every night

this thread is pathetic.. houston doesnt need 'Yao Fans' to decide to cheer for the rockets, like ur providing some sort of service in doing so.. yao fans that dont necesarily consider themselves rockets fans? how insulting to actual houston rockets fans.. u yao fans are gonna go balistic when i say this, but TRADE YAO ALREADY.. i like the guy but hes simply not durable, hes not the type of player that can carry a team on his back and will a franchise to (postseason) success.. and besides, even when he is healthy, hes got too many weaknessess... hes slow, hes clumsy with the basketball (turnover machine), he cant rebound for his life, hes a horrible defender, he cant aggressively attack the rim (see dwight howard), gets his ass stuffed by too many players when all he has to do is dunk the damn ball.. i do love his attitude and work ethic though, but thats not enough

Yao injured who's fault? Why Rockets didnt have a good backup for Yao, you should blame not Yao, maybe Morey or Alexlander

i don't fault anyone for being injured. it's not his fault. but it is his reality.

we've had a backup for him...didn't matter. it's not like this is his first injury.

if you're gonna take max dollars you need to be able to play max dollar minutes...when it counts. this is the 3rd time in 4 years he hasn't been able to finish a season. the 3 years prior to this year, he's missed at least 30 games.

you can blame that on whoever you want...but that's the reality the rockets are staring at looking forward with this franchise.

Are you kidding me? in your statement , it seems YAO will leave Rox? just an injury, you ruled yao out as a Rox?

    Stupid :p :p

Whatever happens, we are cheering for Rox, we are cheering for Yao, we are cheering for the warriors

i don't think so, maybe you think yao get the max salary, but how do you think about O'neal? he play about 30 minutes but earned more than yao, I list this just want to say that yao is a huge man(big body), like as others, he cant play too much time in a game, by the way, yao have got many dollars from rockets but rockets got more money from yao

wait...Shaq is in the twilight of his career. Yao should be in his prime. Comparing Yao to Shaq now is ridiculous.

In Shaq's prime he was utterly dominant. His team rode on his back to win championships. He played big minutes night in and night out. He stayed healthy enough to win rings. To be there at the end of the season. When you draft a guy with the #1 pick overall, that's what you're hoping for...that sort of player. We don't have that in Yao.

Again, I'm not blaming Yao for injuries. But making Yao a focal point of this team is not going to be enough to win a championship, it seems to me.

As a Chinese living in Houston for 10 years, I am a rockets fan because of Yao came to the rockets. I agree Yao is one of the softest players in the NBA, but what can I do? He's the only good Chinese NBA player in the league, and I have to root for him and for his team. I believe there are a lot of Chinese rockets fans are feeling the same way as I do around the world. If Yao leaves Houston, I will still be a rockets fan as I live in Houston; however, I'm sure I won't be as dedicated as I am right now, and I won't buy season tickets no more. Not only I lose the interest of going the a regular season game but also all my customers coming from China won't demand on going to a rockets game as a entertainment subject during their business trip here. (If you go to a rockets game, you know there are a lot of them in the games at the Toyota Center.) I'm not saying Yao fans are a big factor for this team, but it will affect this team financially in a big way if Yao leaves rockets. I don't want to root for another team other than Houston team, but Yao's new team will definitely be my second focus other than the Rockets if that's what's going to happen.

^interesting point above me. It really places fandom, athletics in a economic context. somewhat understandable. Still, growing up in Houston and being a Rockets fan way before Yao, stuff like this is kind of annoying. One player is not bigger than the franchise. I'm a huge Yao fan, but if he left, the Rockets would still be my team. I'd continue to root for Yao, except when he played the Rockets. I'm not saying he should go, but if he did, thats how I'd feel.

i totally agree what u said above, perhaps i will also root for rockets if they really trade Yao, but u know, i won't have motivation as much as before, gradually i will forget the players' name in this team one by one, finally i wii lose my interest in this team, it is true i really love basketball and rockets at the moment when Yao stepped into NBA.
shall we be friend? i'd like to.
