actually.. Chuckwagon has some success guarding Gasol

and you can guard Gasol efficiently if you are quick.. thats why I think we can put up a fight..

I think Bynum will be getting a lot of minutes tonight.

It's on ABC... I honestly believe Rockets will play tough. To beat Lakers, we need to play smarter than the last game - 3 keys to win: pass the ball well, make open 3s, and don't be afraid to hit to the rim when possible.

If we win this one, it will give huge pressure and confusion for Lakers, and we may be able to steal one again in LA before they figure out any adjustments needed.

Play hard... but more importantly, play smart! We got a chance! Go Rockets!

Maybe the loss of Yao will throw the Lakers a little curve. Their defense has been designed to deny Yao the ball and also feed their fast break by causing turnovers. A lot of our turnovers are caused when we try to force feed Yao the ball. I do see that number dropping and that should prevent some of their easy baskets. I do worry about our lack of size on the defensive end.

I have a feeling we are going to run like CRAZY. Von Wafer and Lowry are gonna go off.

In case you didn't notice, Gasol already gets touches every time because Yao Ming cant guard him.

Chuck Hayes defends Pau very well.

We are going to win this game and the series in 7, because we are a better team against LA without Yao.

Never over until it's over. Do some hard fail like Fisher did to Scola

some lakers fans actually think we're tougher to beat now because we will go small ball.

i believe we are going to win this series in 7 games.

Wow, come on guys, everyone here sounds like their air has been sucked out of them...I tell you what though, We all know Luis Scola can step up and average 20+ points, Chuck Hayes is just as good a rebounder than Yao averaging 14.0 rebounds per 48 minutes while Yao averages 14.1. Landry and Battier can both block decent. Aaron Brooks no longer has to hesitate deciding whether to pass to Yao or shoot which has been his flaw, and he should have a great game. Ron Artest MUST shoot the ball well, or we're doomed. I have yet to see any sort of offensive effectiveness from either Von or Shane and expect them to step it up too. So in conclusion, the absence of Yao's O&D can easily be covered. For sure we'll have less turnovers, more fastbreak points. Landry, Brooks, Scola, Wafer, Battier can all contribute 15+ points easily. I know we can win this game, I expect Aaron to have a Game1 in Port. type of game (or at least close), Scola to have a career day since the post is all his, and for Ronnie, if the shot ain't falling he MUST take it to the basket.

I think we'll be a more efficient scoring team for the rest of the series and so my prediction:
    Houston 97
    LA Lakers 92

    GO ROCKETS!!!

As long as the Rockets have not given up upon themselves, I won't give up on them. I'll be at the game, look for me - I'll be the one wearing red

Go team, do it for yourselves and do it for Yao!

Give it your best shot! Prove the naysayers wrong! There is no adversary bigger and no challenge harder but it is time you rise! Give the Lakers hell! Let's do it!

There's no shame in going down with pride.
We still have hearts of Champions, it'll come Rocket fans, it'll come.

To do a little calculation of salary proportion: (08/09 figures):

Houston Rockets total team salary: $71,355,245
Combined salary of Yao and Mcgrady: $35,440,987
(Therefore technically, 49.7% of our team is injured and unavailable)

LA lakers total team salary: $78,220,092
-everyone is healthy and playing at just about their maximum potential-

It'd be absurd (mathematically), if we beat LA in a 7 game series.

    Yet I Believe.
Cmon Rockets! Give us one last win at home!
