Say what? Just repeat that for yourself and see if you understood that! ;)

Common man, don't be a wuss, you have not proven anything. The simple contradiction in your post was pointed out in my previous post.

Just man up and answer one simple question, Are we better without Yao?

The only thing Yao did 2-3 ago is he was dominating the lesser competition like he is suppose to.

I think the OP titled his thread so that no one else would create the same thread, and immediate said no in his post. I think he was just making the point that they seem more enjoyable to watch when Yao is not in.

besides, if you did want to straight up ask the question are the Rockets (not we, we don't suit up) better without Yao, then I would say, sure...in stretches and certain situations. Overall, no. You need a guy who is putting up just about 20/10 and is blocking shots lately at a very good clip.

But you aren't asking me huh? :p

The Rockets said after the game that they did not play well. Some posters wanted to use the same game as proof that the Rockets play better with Yao. You're saying that the manner in which the Rockets won (playing poorly and being fortunate to win) has nothing to do with this discussion. Hmm .. seems to me that how well the Rockets played has quite a bit to do with a discussion on how well the Rockets play with Yao. Trivially so.

I don't know how I can break it down any more clearly than that.

Point it out right here, clearly, so there's no confusion between us over what you think the contradiction is. I'm not particularly stubborn about winning internet arguments when I know I'm not making sense. If I realize there's something screwy in my arguments or logic, I'll freely admit it. But I need to understand where you think the contradiction is first.

    "No, we're not."

If we replayed the season without Yao, we'd have far less wins. If we go into the playoffs without Yao, our chances of winning would decrease.

We are 7'6 shorter in the middle. They don't even have to have Kobe to finish us. Not even close.

It‘s no doubt that we are a better team without Yao.So let's trade Yao for a better man to see how far rockets can go.

Well Rockets will be of a more fast pace team!!! Take Yao out and we run more. We can use Scola or artest or shane to post up. We need to outsmart the Kobe and the Lakers. No way we'll win with physical talent.

Gasol- Tall and skilled big man. He can dribble face up at 7'2''
Bynum and Odom- 7 footers who are pretty quick for their heights. One can shoot outside jumpers (so we can guard them at the line now)

    Ariza- Quick athletic wing

Kobe- We know what he can do

Fisher- he can tackle an opponent to the floor

our offense runs better without him, but we don't have the skills to win without him. yao does not fit in adelman's system well, we had to adjust, but without him we lack the skill to be a contender, this team is like sacramento, artest is the big star with a bunch of role players and injured star in kevin martin

exactly, and we are defintely better defensively without yao.

add to the fact the lakers may take us lightly, its a recipe for a game 4 win.

we ARE better against the lakers without yao, but its the nuggets that im worried about without yao.

    rockets in 7
