Was the season over when Yao went down 2 years ago?

No. In fact, we went on to win 12 games in a row after he went down.

This team does not live and die by Yao. We can survive just fine without him.

I for one am ecstatic that he's out. We can now compete with the Lakers just like we did in game 2 in the first half, with Yao out of the game.

Face it, you knew the Rockets were going to lose the way they kept playing.

We were horrid offensively when they fronted Yao. In fact, we were -23 with Yao ON THE FLOOR.

This is not the end of the season. Every national media outlet is going to count us out, but we are going to shock the world. Tomorrow, we are going to beat the Lakers with Chuck Hayes guarding Pau.

    MARK MY WORDS

That was with Dikeme Mutumbo, Tracy McGrady and Rafer Alston playing out of their minds. None of those players are on the team anymore. They also weren't playing the best team in the NBA in the playoffs with a huge frontline. Yao's defense will be the biggest thing the Rockets miss. The Lakers will tear us up down low.

I wish Yao get traded, but for Yao's good.

I can't stand the fans that blame this on Yao.

Yao wins the first playoff series for you, your guys sucks

It's a shame Yao's out but our second unit has played well this series. I know these guys will keep playing hard until the last whistle. Anything can happen in the NBA.

Small ball time.... oh well we at least went further than we had for a while. I really hope the Rockets grab a decent backup center next year and perhaps a taller bench PF who can be used at center when needed.

100% right, this isnt Yao's fault. He can not how God made him.

He is awesome, the answer is not a trade, it is in limiting Ming's minutes on the floor, and getting a good back-up center to take some the slack for him...Kind of the way the Spurs do Duncan or Miami did Shaq

Speed, defense, and making our shots. It's all we've got. The size simply isn't there.
