    So...

After last nights DISASTER, I went to be not even worried about it. I have a bit of the flu (not SWINE!) so, I took the NyQuil and went to bed.

Woke up today feeling GREAT! It was raining all last night...like cats and dogs and whatever else. So, that may have helped me sleep better.

Go outside, get ready to go to the bank. I turn on the car...turn on the radio...BOOM! Depression.

Amazing by Kanye West had just started.

And man, I don't know what the hell happened! I just sat in the car and stared into my lawn and saw all the plays from last night and they faded into the playoffs in 1993-1997. And I was so freakin SAD. I was just seeing all the mistakes and the images and Yao limping and Artest...WTF!?

I don't know why but I told myself before the playoff started that we get passed the first round, I won't let it bother me anymore afterwards. But something happened after that first two games...and after the song went off and I started driving to the bank, I figured it out.

I let myself BELIEVE again. I listened to Kenny and Chuck talk about game one and two...listened how Kenny stood up for his old team and said that we could win a championship with our defense, etc. Listened to Chuck actually praise the Rockets left and right. I started to think that maybe I can relive those summers with Hakeem and the gang doing the impossible...the unbelievable. The Kiss of Death. Hakeem doing his thing. Countless elimination games won. Defying the odds.

I was hoping to have those hot days in late May and June when I would come in from outside, turn on the AC...ice cold air blowing in the house while I grabbed my Kool-Aid and Popeyes Chicken...I let myself think those times were coming again and would carry on for years! All over again!

And then last night...I guess I was just numb. Didn't feel it until that song brought it all back. Everytime Amazing played on television, I would get pumped up! Think about what could be!

But now that I came back from the bank, I am doing chores around the house and all I think about is that damn game and how sad I feel today. I got my kids asking me to play and I am like...um...maybe later. I do the dishes and all I think about is...how am I going to watch game 4...ON MOTHERS DAY after I said yesterday I wasn't going to even bother?

People think I am crazy when I tell them that the Rockets are my 4th love behind my wife and two daughters. I truly love this organization and team...

Man, I fell for them AGAIN after the first two games!! And they go and do some **** like last night. I want to hold out hope. But Yao is injured. And with this team...I don't know. They have the basketball IQ of a rabbit!

So, is there a doctor in the house? I can't hear that damn song again FOR A LONG TIME if we go home next week.

I am in Rockets Depression. Imagine two more losses. I will be a mess. :(

I feel for you man. I was too young to even remember those glory days, but the the Rockets had me believing after the first two games. They really did. I thought we would protect home court and win in 6. But you know what? It's not over. If we win Game 4 tomorrow, we're tied 2-2. We'll probably lose Game 5, but hey, we win game six and we are going into Game 7. Still, taking it one game at a time, but all is not lost.

When Chuck and Kenny were praising us, i knew it was fools gold. the things is, in game 2, we weren't keeping the game close because Yao was in the game. we were winning for a short time in the 2nd quarter because of Hayes and Landry. Thats who brought us back in game 2. All those replays Kenny Smith showed at halftime? All of them were with Hayes and Landry being bulldogs.

Lo and behold, Yao Ming enters in the 3rd quarter and Pau Gasol schools him every time down. It was fools gold because Yao was in foul trouble that game and we play better against the Lakers without him.

Michael jackson is amazing. Andre johnson is amazing. Ron artest is amazing...

Don't worry. If yao can't go, a line up with Scola as the starting center will not be that bad. It's not like yao was getting the ball anyways. You post luis and artest up at all times.

Dont get so occupied with the drama. In the end its just a basketball game not a life or death situation. Turn your heart to the Lord Jesus, lean not in your own understanding but in everything seek Him and you will find Him. LETS GO ROCKEts!

Or you can go to a strip club......
It's just basketball, just 2-3 hours every other night to get away from pressures from work and relationships.

    Gimmme,

I appreciate the thought...but I am in BASKETBALL DEPRESSION!

I know life is good. I went through 9/11 so I know its all good living in the Big City.

But I love my team and losing hurts.

I did say my FOURTH love. Not first above family! :)

    Yea,

But the depression comes from the fact that this team is SO CLOSE.

Just play smart and play hard and you can overcome this team. To see those lackadaiscal passes and turnovers and stupid shots...

Man, I get depressed! Wheres the Patron!?

I felt similar last night after the game. Not because they lost the game and the Lakers took back both the series lead and homecourt advantage, but more because of the way the Rockets played last night: no fire, no intensity, no heart, no hustle. After they got ripped off in game 2, I expected to see these guys come out with plenty of the fight they'd showed in the first two games, especially with a home crowd behind them. Instead, they were mostly timid and played like they were afraid of making mistakes -- which is the WORST way to avoid making them.

    :(

Maybe they take game 4 and do it in a way that makes me a believer again. But the team I saw last night was not the same team I'd seen in the previous playoff games.

    I feel ya.

No one takes it as seriously as me around these parts. And I'm guessing you, Almu, might have a few compadre's who feel your pain...

The only place I can go where people feel my pain is here on Clutchfans!

Yesterday I watched the game while my family were out for lunch, they came home during the 4th when it was getting away from us - I was jumping yelling and screaming at the TV like I honestly believed my cries of "Dig in on Defense" could actually help us get a stop.

They thought I was crazy - but they are used to it.

They have never seen it go to a level like it did yesterday though....since 97 of course, and I was only 15 then, so it was a bit more 'understandable and forgivable'

I too, thought I'd settle for whatever we acheived after the 1st round would be enough to make me happy - but HELL NO - making the 2nd round and then beating the Fakers in LA gave me hope like I'd never had before.

    Now?

    Hurting. Hurting really, really bad.

Yeah I was watching the 3rd quarter online and I was thumping the desk, yelling and screaming then I got the s##t with the quality of the feed and turned it off. I followed the rest on a play by play update.

Ya it happens to everyone. I figured it was good for us fans that game 4 is coming so soon, but then I thought about Yao's ankle and was like D'oh!

How depressed you are means how much love you put in this team, in the same way how much happiness you got from enjoying watching this team play...

I feel very very sad as well, but I am deserved all of this since I am a Rox fan
