I have had it up to here ^ with the way the league is officiated and some of the blatant bs that we as fans have to deal with day in day out...

To tackle this problem I suggest more criticism from fans and more public outcrys. This can be done on two fronts - Houston and China, whether its angry rants in newspaper columns, facebook groups, websites, organised protests (abit extreme but not impossible) we as fans need to stand up for ourselves. I have bought 4 rockets jerseys and I hate it when half of this money goes into a league where not "all men are created equal" (again an exaggeration referencing to kill a mocking bird but you get my point)

Someone high up ie david stern needs to realise that he is isolating alot more people by trying to control something which should be played fair and square.

end rant that feels better but hopefully the points are valid

I posted this in the other thread. We need a competing league to the NBA. Another league with high caliber talent but FAIR officiating and not scripted outcomes based on short sighted financial purposes. With the advent of international basketball streaming on the Internet and NBA players playing abroad, it's not too far fetched to think that one day a league, maybe in Asia or Europe, would become the premier basketball league in the world. Hell, anything's better than this fixed garbage.

Just get Stern out. How is it that an attorney is heading the NBA?

Have to say that is extremely difficult. This is a commercial society, everything and everybody would be the sacrifice.

Um, because he's one of the best commissioners in pro sports period. The league has grown globally over the world under his watch. If the op really want to do something, how about protesting china for the whole darfur thing. Raise awareness to the pink elephant in the corner that no one seems to see.

sadly that statement is true. since there's 4 major pro sports Stern could be dead last and noobs could post things like "he's one of the best commissioners in pro sports period."

the league grew globally in europe 15 years ago... and specifically in china about 5-10 years ago. otherwise it's been stagnant globally. in the US it's been in decline for the full past decade

compare that to how much more popular the NFL is becoming in europe (there's talk of a london superbowl) and how massive baseball has been with the WBC in asia (more popular than basketball).

Darfur really has nothing to do with this thread. If you want to be racist and political. Why dont you go the full 9 to express your bigotry and mention the occupied West Bank any time Stern is mentioned... although he has nothing to do with it other than being a Jew. I mean if you're going to take cheap shots because they're Chinese it seems your style

I watched the game 3 on CCTV5, the support rate is Rockets--68% and Fakers--32%. Also I believe China have more Rockets Fan than Fakers fan. The Chinese should give Davis Stern much pressure, Rockets deserve the same privileges as Fakers have...

CCTV5? Great! I'll try that next time. I'm sick of ESPN and TNT giving the Lakers handjobs every play. The Lakers this, the Lakers that. Does it feel good enough yet? Let me try a little lube.!?

And I do believe with Houston and China's buying power we could put the league in a headlock and demand a little more respect. If Ron gets suspended for game 4, he should kick Kobe right in the nuts in game 7 and just say he was going for the ball. I'd be willing to accept Ron being suspended for the first part of next season just to see Kobe crying like the B*tch he is and limping around the next series.

    Go Rockets! Beat L.A.!

bloop, there was nothing racist in my post. I never post anything racist and i'm not a racist. Maybe u can say I couldve put it in the d&d. The op said chinesse need to unite to overthrow stern and I said if you're chinesse and u want a cause, rally up support againt china's role in darfur. Its nothing racist about that.

the only way to get the league to change is to boycott.

    good luck with that op

the league is about $$$ now, we have to face it. whoever stern wants to win, WILL win. its that plain and simple.

as already said the only way to get the league to change is to boycott. too bad nobody will will tho

i would probably cry from tears of joy if i ever heard a "stern sucks" chant on live tv from a sold out crowd

Actually many fans send textmessage to support the team don't mean they are the fans of the team they selected. Just vote for the probably winner in their mind. :)
