    Hmmm....Remember during the trade deadline.

    Tmac for Baron Davis+Chris Kaman.

I said then that the trade would have made us a contender this season...and I stand by it.

Baron is a REALLY good PG when he's playing on a good team and he's motivated. He would have been motivated with Shane, Ron, Yao...no way he's not motivated...yeah Baron takes some bad threes but really...dude is a playmaker also.

As for Kaman..he'd be a excellent backup Center.

But it's true though...we need a healthy Tmac or a player similar to that.

I thinking you're forgetting last time around. Fisher as a Jazz was shutting down T-Mac in the playoffs.

You're forgetting that TMac was playing on one leg. And you're also forgetting that TMac dropped 40 on the Jazz in Game 6, so I'd hardly call that shutting anybody down.

Tmac clanking off the rim every time is going to hurt the team more than help. And no D!!

It's easy to favor Tmac in the lineup every time we lose ain't it??

Actually, I dont believe anybody has brought this up at all throughout this entire playoffs. I sure didn't when we lost to Portland, b/c I had every bit of confidence that we could beat the Blazers with what we had (and we did). Nobody brought this up after the Game 2 either b/c that loss had more to do with cheap shots and lost composure.

I bring it up TONIGHT b/c of what I saw in Game 3. And it's the truth. A healthy TMac would plug up all of our deficiencies. Tell me with a straight face that I'm wrong.

Our guys wouldn't play as hard or as tough with Kneemac in there. Plus he's never going to be healthy again so whatever.

I agree with that, teams wouldn't front Yao so much because of offensive threat on the perimeter. Make it two if you include moody Ron Artest.

But it's silly to expect a TMac to avg 22 ppg again or more. He had really tough injury, he will need a lot of time to come back where he wants.

But I hope McGrady can contribute next year, I mean he MUST or...

Well Artest was clanking also and we know for sure that didn't help.

you guys are listing players the Rockets basically have no chance of getting....lets stick with what we have already and try to improve on that. With a healtier Tmac, he can still do a lot for this team, and I think everyone knows that Tmac makes this team better. When he was playing this year, it was Yao who look like he got his basketball power taken from those space jam ppl, and Ron also had a hurt ankles, so did Battier. Tmac also was playing on a bad knee. I really think we woulda been the team to beat if we actually had a decently healthy team this year, not the Lakers!

Just a crazy thought, what if Roy exchange with T-Mac ?

Will us be a better team ? Roy can shoot, can attack the rim. :p

um.. i think the title of this thread should be a healthy mutombo. that wouldve been enough to help us control games at the end. or how about a healthy yao ming for a change? or a mentally healthy ron artest.

no thanks. we dont need a mcgrady. healthy or injured. brandon roy, steve nash, someone who knows how to distribute the ball and get their own shots and get the ball to yao and will do it.

    not a black hole.
