    Really? Look closer.

Lebron would've gotten 15-20 free throws tonight. I've never seen the most aggressive player of the game shoot so few free throws (the first ones in the third quarter). He was hacked the entire night every single time he drove.

Nonetheless, Kobe never gets these calls. Hence, he's a jump shooter. He hasn't lost any hops as many people would assume. Look at the defensive plays he made tonight.

Whenever he drives, he gets fouled. Whenever he gets fouled, he gets no calls. It's on ESPN360, watch it over.

When NBA players sign a contract ,here is a provision in the contracts with the players called the "antidisparagement provision" where they give up their free-speech rights. So if they complain publicly or criticize a referee or David Stern, they can be fined five-thousand, ten, fifty, a hundred thousand dollars! Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks has already paid $1.5-plus million in fees, in penalties. Now, the government can't fine you for free speech. Most corporations can't fine you -- they can fire you, but they can't fine you if you speak your mind. So my recommendation is the following: I understand that it's very disruptive while the teams are actually playing each other during the season to have people spouting off about managers, coaches, players against players and so on. But the antidisparagement clause should stop after the season, and there should be a free speech period in the off-season so that any potential cover-ups can be exposed.
The NBA is a F'ing joke, and anybody who thinks the best players in the world are in the NBA is blind. Adelman is about to get robbed again, that game 2 was an obvious fix, but lets not be too biased, that vujacic foul was not flagrant, neither was artest's . NBA is completely taking defense out of the game.

anyways, to sum it all up the NBA is a sissy's game now.....no argument

Agreed. The Rockets pretty much handed their heads to them on a platter with all the turnovers and lack of ball/player movement.

Yes we turned it over too much.

    Yes we shot poorly.

Yes we didnt play great defense.

Yes those are things that contributed to this loss.

My point is there is no way the NBA was going to let the Lakers lose this game. Lakers shot damn near 20 free throws in the 2nd half.

    Give me a freaking break.

The Lakers executed a lot better in the second half and played tremendous defense in the second half as well. Kobe Bryant seems to always have a good game versus this team. Especially in Houston where I think he loves playing there. We simply had too many turnovers to even compete down the stretch. This is the second straight game where we had at least TEN more turnovers than the Lakers. That will not get it done. Aaron brooks needs to be more patient on offense and Shane needs to step up more on the offensive end.

I defenitely thought that the flagrant foul on Artest was way overblown. While there was some contact, he was definitely going for the ball. Should've been just a personal foul. I think he got that because of his reputation.

yup, let's blame the refs for the loss...they caused the players to turn the ball over so many times, miss layups, miss open 3s, they forced Artest to jack up 3s and play one on one and dribble for 20 seconds, they forced Adelman to not to call timeout or subs players in the beginning of 3rd quarter, they caused Yao to miss all those shots in the 3rd

    i really hate these refs

get real, lakers won because they came to play and it showed

Kobe throws elbow. Foul on Ron.

    Ron yells at Kobe. Ejection.

Vujacic hard foul on Wafer. Personal Foul.

Ron hard foul on Gasol. Flagrant 2, ejection. Suspension coming.

    Wake up.

There were some bad calls and some bad no calls, but we lost this in the third quarter when we could not hit our shots. Up till then, we were in it.

I agree this was a better officiated game than game 2...but this was a team loss, not an officiating loss. Also, turnovers, turnovers and turnovers......they cost us the game.

Also, yes Artest's flagrant II was bogus...should have been a personal foul only...but it had no effect on the game, so it is mute as long as he is not suspended for the next game. And I don't believe the NBA will suspend Artest for game 4.

    Stupid ass thread.

You obviously didn't watch any part of the game in the first half or else you would've known that at one point the Lakers team had a total of 12 fouls and we had a total of 4.... and we were still down by 4 or 6pts.

Like others said in this thread, we lost because of turnovers and missing open shots.

you need to calm down. we're all frustrated, but you've gotta respect the truth.

the truth of the matter is, yes, the flagrant 2 was bs, but at that time the game was already lost. and they shot more ft's because we had to foul the last couple of minutes.

    try think str8.

Until we get that star player who the whole country wants to watch, we will never win.

You can sit here and call me a r****d, call me an idiot. IDGAF.

Only teams with Star Power get far these days. The days of the Spurs vs Pistons in the Finals are over.

If you dont see that, Im sorry youre blind.

    I was at the game.

Its easy to give the Rockets a big free throw disparity in the first half. Who cares? Its the 2nd half that counts.

2nd half you couldnt breathe on them.
