yao said he twisted his ankle a few times, in 1st quarter and 3rd quarter, stepped on someone's feet. He'll have tests tomorrow morning, if his ankle is alright, he'll play tomorrow.
You've gotta love Yao. Despite his flaws and injuries, the guys just keeps on playing. This season is now all about pride. Three significant players are or might be done for the year. Tmac: check Deke: check Yao:____ I'm hoping he can finish this series out, win or lose.
So what do you suggest, my wise friend, do you think he should play 10-15 minutes a game? Just to make sure he doesnt get "worked" too hard??? How about the Chinese Govt. dogging the ***** out of Yao every offseason, just so their joke of a national team, isn't so overmatched? Seriously, you come in here blaming our coaches, previous and present, that they overuse him. HES THE BEST PLAYER ON OUR TEAM, what is a coach supposed to do with that kind of talent??? Get out of here with those boneheaded comments.
RA should taken him out. Yao showed that he wanted to fight, but he can't afford to keep on playing like this.He should have come out himself.
From the way he shied away the questions, it is not looking good. A couple twists and landing on other players' feet were the causes of the injury. Was that the same foot that he had surgery before?
We'll have to wait late tomorrow to see what's wrong with Yao. There's going to be a running test. Horry said it was just Yao being Yao though and Horry is from Houston so....
damn why are we cursed with injuries!!!!!!!!!!!!DAMN IT!!!!!! i know the series isn't over but the pressure is clearly on us now. turnovers were ridiculous and they were shooting way too many jumpers and not attacking enough. i keep saying time and time again yao is getting position but the rockets are way to slow to get him the ball. i hope yao is ok
You can clearly tell from Yao's responses on the 2 events, that after his knee was bumped and this twisted ankle. He was so determinative in answering the questions when asked about the bumped knee in game one but he was so hesitated and uncertain about the ankle in this incident.
