You cant question the fight in our players. You simply cant. They have fought hard in every game. The fact is Lakers are the best team in the West and Rockets without a legitimate playmaker on the wing or a closer, have been in each and every single game. What has caught up to the Rockets is some talent and a lot of length from the other team. Yes, IQ of some of the players is also a concern but I will leave that for another day. There are a number of ways your team has an advantage if you have long players. 1) More often than not, your team will get more steals. Long players can cover more of passing lanes. Lamar, Kobe, Pau, etc. constantly keep sticking their hands in the passing lane. Turnovers caused today were a product of Lakers length in the passing lane as well as Rockets not taking care of the ball. I predict this problem will continue for the rest of the series. 2) More often than not, your team will get more blocks. Odom's length has bothered Scola's ability to finish around the rim. Pau's length is a problem for Yao. Lakers dont have a dominant shotblocker but with Kobe, Odom, and Pau, Lakers are very good at making shots difficult around the rim. We dont have that presence. 3) With long players you can bother a player like Kobe. It gives you the ability to get beaten off the dribble but still be able to use your length to bother Kobe's shot. Kobe shoots a poor % against Prince, Kirilenko and Pierce because he actually has to think about their length blocking his shot. Shane and Artest are great position defenders but neither is going to block Kobe once he rises up. Once he gets up, its up to him to miss. 4) With long players you can also bother face up players like Gasol. Right now Gasol is not really afraid of anyone blocking his shot once he faces up. It's Rockets position defense that's giving him problems. 5) Long players help you a lot with defending pick and roll plays. Who on the Rockets can you call long? Really, we don't have a mobile player with length at either the SF or PF spot. One at either of those spot would help Rockets defense tremendously. IMO, ROckets already are the best position defensive team in the league. Give them extenze and they will be downright nasty and doin' it all night long.
Agree. Yao's length is bothering Lakers too despite his slowness. 43 old Deke still bothers opponents. We don't have a 2nd shot blocker, that's why Adelman had to leave Yao on the court for so long.

Rockets need another superstar, but that must not be T-MAC. The boss of Rocket, pls use your money for this great team. 1. Our defense is the best, but our attack is not matched with our defense. We need another big attack point. 2. T-MAC can never be one of this great team, because his soft and his enableless in defense. 3. The boss, pls use money for this great team. No we need to execute on offense we make to many stupid plays and are not moving the ball. Point blank period. Yeah we would be unstoppable right now if we had that elite wing player. But we don't and we can still win if we can stick to the plan.
I am not agree. Why always Kobe? He is our enemy! If we have another big shooter, we can beat LA. The teamate we must keep for this team is: 1. YAO 2. Scola 3. Battie 4. Atest We need Atest and Battie for our defense. So we need another big attarck point, who can pass the ball, and who can shoot.
