Three things to fix: 1) How to start 3rd quarter 2) How to reduce the turnover 3) How to manage Yao's player time One suggestion: Use more 2nd unit with Chuck Hayes and Carl Landry, Lowry, Von and Shane.
K-Rape and the league have taken RonRon out of the series. I had a feeling that he was already psyched out when he didn't get the call for the K-Rape's larynx assault, and it showed when he didn't go to the hole nearly enough this game. It's a shame because he usually finishes when he does that. The league SOOOOooooo wants the K-Rape - LBJ Finals, it's actually amusing if you can stand the injustice of it all where rocks are concerned.
whos the r****d that said andre miller cant shoot for crap??? why dont u go check out their shooting percentages...
Unless Artest doesnt get his suspension decreased he got 4 points in da playoffs and thts an automatic suspension
Game 2 and 3 exemplify why the Rockets got swept by the Lakers during the regular season. It comes down to execution, and in the second half of the past two games, the Lakers did just that. You cannot make stupid mistakes, you cannot lose sight of your gameplan, you cannot commit turnovers if you expect to be the best. They may have been able to play through their flaws against Portland, but that won't fly against LA.
No, it's not only AB's fault but also AD should realise that Fisher is out we should study who will be PG of La.He should allow Lowry earlier play. Another Yao should play within 28 miniutes which can be more effective,he should be substitute when he is tired. Wefer is too sturben, his IQ is really.... Anyway we will come back next game. Go, Rockets.
The Lakers are smarter, take care of the ball, and they wanted this one more. The better team won. Only thing you can hope for is the Rockets finally take this lesson to heart and start using their brains consistently.
Good: We played hard, competed, and never gave up on the game. Yao played aggressively and countered fronting very well. We played good half court defense as usual. Bad: Our shooting, especially Artest's in the second half. The shots just didn't drop for us. Lakers made their shots, so they won. Ugly: Turnovers again, mostly due to mistakes by Artest and Brooks. Artest brings too much to this team to bench, but we have a very capable substitute for Brooks in Lowry. Adelman needs to make the change NOW before we lose the series.
win next game and the series is still on... but I have a feeling stern will let nothing stop in the way of kobe vs. lebron
The Rockets relative lack of talent compared to the Lakers was on display tonight. Silly, stupid unforced turnovers and horrific guard play was their undoing. Artest shot 30% and though Yao may be struggling with an injury he was no ball of fire tonight. He looked really slow the entire game. The Rockets just don't have all the pieces to complete at this level. But the fantasy of the pitbull Rockets was good while it lasted. More like poodles tonight. The Rockets must play way, way over their heads to win against the really good teams. I am proud they did in the Portland series and in game one of this one. However, according to statistical probability and league history, this series is over.
lakers play a zone type defense while fronting yao. you got to make ur shots while not turning over the ball. rockets had a lot of contested shots and turnovers. give credit to the lakers, houston couldn't score when it was needed. ron jackn 3's, brooks turnvoers, no passes into yao late in the game, and everyone not stepping up is a formula for a loss.
Sad to agree with you, with a healthy T Mac the Lakers would get burned by fronting and paying so much attention to Yao like they have been. Over the last few years, when the Rockets had both Yao and T Mac healthy they have beaten the Lakers. That is the sad part, you simply can not count on building a winner around two guys who are always hurt. Artest can play well, but not consistently on offense. I am not sure what the answers are, but this team is not good enough offensively to win a championship, we need another scorer, either as a starter or coming off the bench who dominate the offense end for stretches, like T Mac used to be able to do. Yao can't do that because it is too easy, for whatever reason, to deny him the ball. Artest can, once in awhile but not enough.
As long as Aaron Brooks continues to be our point guard we will not go anywhere. Someone needs to tell him that his job is to get the ball to the 7'6 Chinese man standing in the post. His job is to not dribble around for 18 seconds.
