dont be such a toon. making shots should be a part of any pgs game. why shouldnt it? tell us why. ok lets assume the greatest pg ever only passes it brilliantly. he never shoots it in your fantast argument world. do you think teams would play off them know the balls going to be passed into one of a couple predictable lanes?
Why do you want an old point guard who is leaving his prime? We would have to give up too much for him, if it was a trade. not worth it.
What if Tmac was healthy, what if yao was more aggressive, what if AB was smart. What if: The Houston Rockets Story.
I meant what I said, I don't need you to try and fix anything for me. We can't win a championship with Brooks as our starter.
RV6, It ain't cool to go in changing folks quotes. If you don't like something I got to say point it out and say what you will. But don't change my words.
you can mean it all you want, but if we had tmac healthy or got a replacement like him, along with a back up center who's capable of contributing consistently, then Brooks wouldnt need to make as many decisions, it would be as simple as shoot or drive, which he can do. Eventually he'd gain enough experience to make those decisions though, so its VERY premature for you to say we can't win it EVER, which i'm assuming is what you meant...
what are you talking about?? 225 isn't nothing to brag about if you're 7'6 and 300+ pounds. I use to bench that when i was lifting for weight/muscle gain and i'm only 5'9 and was about 170 at the time. I've seen smaller guys bench that as well.
Tmac is definetely missed right now, you think we would be having trouble with teams fronting yao if we had tmac. he was our best ball handler, best post passer. Brooks would never be given the ball in these situations.
how about if yao can always dunk from the 3 point line..then he can shoot so much 3s that's 100%...and we ll get over 200 points a game... wat if
I did say i fixed it for you, meaning i changed it, edited, messed with it, etc. If you're worried about someone else thinking you said that, then it shouldn't be a problem since they'll see i changed it. Its happens enough around here that people will know that's what I did.
What a r****ded post. NAsh and Kidd are points who like to run. Did you forget about the big man in the middle or what? Nash with shaq no playoffs, even if Amare was out for most of the season that should be enough to make the playoffs at least. We do not need a flashy guy at point. We just need someone to not turn the damn ball over and pass the ball to yao.
A point guards job is to handle the ball and make those decisions. If he can't do it now, he ain't gonna get it in the future. He's a score first point and that's what he is. As much as I dislike the guy, McGrady's don't grow on trees and to assume that we will get someone that can come in and take his place with those same skills is asking a little much when there are only so many out there and usually they aren't available just cause you want them.
He's an INEXPERIENCED scoring point. He may never get to the point where he controls the tempo like a pure point, but he'll eventually learn not to hesitate and make better scoring decisions. We don't necessarily need another Tmac, just another scorer somewhat like him that can take the pressure off of not just Brooks, but also Yao. You'd be surprised what kind of difference that would make. I'm not even talking about a play maker or a SF who can play point, but just a guy who consistently can score 20 a game and shoot the rock. Those guys are definitely available and the fact that we have trade bait (expiring contract) or free money (if we let tmac walk) and a almost championship caliber team, will make it easier for us to attract that kind of player or swing a deal for them.
A scorer doesn't help a point guard that makes bad decisions. He has a low post presence in Yao and doesn't get him the ball effectively. We absolutely need another McGrady like player if Brooks is the point. He needs to come off the bench where he can free lance more, but he is taking this team out of their offense.
