Recap SR610: You talk to opposing general managers during the regular season. Now that its the playoffs do you still talk to them? DM:It's like the players. Just give the a quick hug before the game. That's about it. SR610: How much of von wafer are we going to see tonight? DM: Up to coach. But i think he's going to go with whoever helps us win. So hes going to do whatever he thinks is best. SR610: What do u expect to see without fisher? what changes? DM: I expect Farmar to start. Shannon is an energy guy off the bench. Jordan matches up with AB better than Shannon Brown does. Farmar is a good player. Not sure how big of a positive it is that fishers out. Farmar can step in. SR610: surrounding yao with tough players because yao isn't the most physical guy? DM: we're just trying to find good players to surround our two superstars with. We're looking for guys who win even if they have some limitations. Guys like Luis, he may not be as long as Lakers players, Landry undersized but they're both winners. SR610: executive of the year? DM: We voted. Couldn't vote for myself. I voted for mark warkentien and he won. SR610: Fisher knocking scola down. Artest vs Kobe. Alot people feel like there is a positive influence of those two events because the league will be looking at Kobe a little closer now. DM: Kobe's a physical competitive player. He has a history of elbowing guys. He hit shane in game and got ron in game two. I think the league knows the book on Kobe. SR610: Should there be more instant replay in the NBA? DM: replay is a relatively new thing. each year they've added a little bit. Its kind of like the nfl in that each year they add a little bit more to it. Ive generally been for replay. Before i was against replay because it slows down the game, but not anymore. Now that we have it, we should use it for some more things. NBA is modeling the NFL in how theyre trying to use replay.
DM: we're just trying to find good players to surround our two superstars with. We're looking for guys who win even if they have some limitations. Guys like Luis, he may not be as long as Lakers players, Landry undersized but they're both winners. I wonder if the second superstar was Mcgrady or Artest. If he meant Mcgrady, someone should tell him that train left the station.
Last time I checked, that train broke down at our station and is currently under repair. Sure that train is old and unreliable to do its job, but we can't get rid of it yet. Actually,

if it's tmac, it's a HUGE hint that he's staying. the rockets have never mentioned artest as a superstar so it's hard to know if it's artest.
Well considering the building that has been done happened primarily before Artest was around, he must be referring to Tmac.
Ever considered the possiblity he's just saying it to avoid (1) causing strife, and (2) lower McGrady's value even more?
Well he is obviously talking about McGrady because he said "he is surrounding his 2 superstars" and will continue to surround them with the right role players.
Its obviously McGrady. Artest is a great player but he was never considered a superstar by the national media or outside of his local teams and the fact is, we still haven't secured Artest for next season, so technically you can't claim to be building around him when he isn't even locked up.
