Ok you have just landed the PERFECT job that you have always wanted, pays you the big bucks, etc. etc. Your boss gives you the option to live in any of the 4 major cities in Texas:

    Houston
    Dallas
    San Antonio
    Austin

Where in Texas would you live if you landed your dream job?

My dream job would be in Houston, but I'd live outside the city limits.

    I voted Houston though.

    Good point Major.

If you are a single male, I would SERIOUSLY consider moving to Lubbock or Amarillo.

For some reason beyond all logic that defies me single GORGEOUS women between the ages of 18-30 flock to this desolate area of Texas. In my 5 years of school at Texas Tech University, I have never seen so many beautiful women in my life.

Amarillo is even better. Tons of beautiful single girls live there as well (many go to West Texas A&M).

And dont even bring up UT because it doesnt even come close to Tech ;)

If you are a single male, could give a **** about where you live, and can hold a decent job that pays, move there for a couple of years and pick up a wife....

Anyone who knows what is in the water up there in West Texas?

I would probably go with Austin. Its fairly close to everything. Plus its not as huge as the other towns. Dallas is a 2nd.

San Antonio for me. Close to Houston, REALLY close to Austin. I know lots of people there, and know the city better than I know anywhere else. The Spurs fans are the WORST thing about San Antonio. The roads too. As much as I complained about living there when I WAS living there, I really loved it, and I would love to go back.

But then again, Houston kicks so much ass too. Rockets, Astros, Texans . . . Dallas is in last place. I love the city for hanging out, but it just seems too high-brow and expensive for me . . .

Well, I guess a dream house along the river in Austin would look a lot nicer than a dream house along a fake lake in Houston.

Traffic backing up on every street (the city can't handle its growth)and lack of pro sports are just too much for me.

I would move to a smaller place, like Wimberley or Kerrville. Of the choices you listed, I would choose anywhere but Dallas.

There is not an "All of the above" choice.

My dream job is to be a drummer in a rock band, so I would be all over the country. :)

You know what I'd do with a million bucks? I'll tell you what I'd do:

Two chicks at the same time. Always wanted to do that. I bet if I had a million dollars, I could hook that up.

Not that that had anything to do with the question.

Assuming we're rolling nearby cities into these larger choices, I'd choose Austin first, Houston second, San Antonio third, Dallas fourth, El Paso fifth. Wouldn't want to live in Corpus.

I don't want to leave the neighborhood I live in now in Plano, so I imagine I'd continue to live here.

I'm not so sure I could be the GM of the Red Sox and still live in Texas. But I'd love to give it a go.

If I had a billion dollars, I'd own the Red Sox, and I'd have a harem.
