Von is definitely immature. Why the hell would you like to see von be emotional to your coach????? Not to your coach man For god sake he is 23 or 24 ....... not 10! Think of your team instead of youself Should Hayes and Barry start crying for minutes??? If you think RA was over reacted .... just imagine what would happen if we have JVG instead....
I'm more concerned with him not letting Vuachick get in his head, with cheap shots, holding, and grabbing. Von just play ball and light him up like a christmas tree.
Wafer wouldn't see the court again. Period. Van Gundy doesn't suffer fools at all. Heck, Von Wafer wouldn't have been signed, IMO, Morey or not.
Oh come on, he didn't apologize because he is a bigger person. If he had his way he would pick up that bottle and hit Adelman in the head with it. He had 1 opportunity to come back. And it was a no brainer. If you crawl back into Adelmans office and beg for forgiveness you may have a chance for millions and the greatest opportunity to showcase your talents on the biggest stage of your life. Or you can be the stupidest idiot ala Latrell Sprewell and say **** Adelman and lose millions. Let's see kiss a little ass and earn millions and fame or say kiss my ass and get a bad rep and a lot less money. What should I do? DUH! Nothing about what Von did was for a genuine remorse about what he did. You can tell that by his comment I didn't throw the bottle. All his apology was about saving his own ass. Nothing of character there. I saw him act out 3 times during these playoffs. How many more do you think he did behind closed Rockets doors? Adelman says it has been going on. Morey says he is immature. Yes he is young but many young players with more talent than him have much more maturity. He is llucky Adelman allowed him back. JVG would not have. And his apology while necessary and accepted was more for saving his ass than feeling genuinely contrite. EDIT: I didn't read your whole post. Mostly I agree with you after reading it all
Agreed with every single thing you just said PJ, hit the nail right on the head. It definitely is concerning that this has happened before, maybe the fact that it has been highlighted nationally and he's been sent to the locker room for it will put an end to his temper tantrums.
I watched the report about it on Fox last night, and they showed clips of the Adelman interview regarding Von. He said something like "This has happened in the past."
Keep yourself together Von. The Rockets need you. Just remember how lucky you are that you have a coach like Adelman and appreciate it. As others have pointed out if you did that to the Rockets old coach Van Gundy you would already be off the team permanently. So respect coach A. I hope Von comes out with a big game.
Good, it's a start but what I understand from this article is that RA and Wafer did not exchange words right ? It was just dropping the water bottle then ? I find that very hard to believe and do not believe it. Guess Von is trying to avert all the talk about the whole situation. Still have a bad feeling about the whole situation and guess this means we need some SGs next season.
His minutes are limited due to Lamar and Kobe being on the court at the same time. Wafer would have trouble gaurding either one. His reduction of minutes from the last series is primarly based on matchup issues on the defensive end. Also he should not let Vujavic get into his head and affect his game. He need to control his emotions and bring positive energy off the bench.
Maybe it's better to have Lowry and Von than Brooks and Lowry since Von is automatic whenever he shoot and he can drive and draw foul. I really think VON wants to win this game so bad and truly believe that ever shot he took it will go in!! And i should.....he just want more playing time.
I want wafer to have a good game. if they get the right match-up then cool... my personal opinion is, if Wafer is gonna really break out and help us win....i don't think its gonna happen or I don't think it should happen at game 3. something is still missing.
Von's not good enough to go to a bad team and pad his stats. He needs good players to spread the floor for him. He proved in game one he has no handles what so ever.
Game three or four of the Blazers series he did something similar. He may not have thrown the bottle, but you can't pout every time you're taken out of a game.
First thing I thought of when Wafer got the boot was Mad Max. Very different caliber players, obviously, but they both jack up shots, and I figured maybe we'll end up with the same result...A CHAMPIONSHIP!
