people you do realise we drafted batum ourselves and traded him away right...

we don't need any more rookies who don't contribute in the playoffs anymore..i.e. luther head (haha the dude sat on our bench for most of the season and then got bought out due to morey's generosity...and broke his hand a couple of games after joining miami---the thing about it? hes a free agent after the season...lol)

do u not think that we won't want batum...we traded him away so why do we want him back after he's barely done anything in this league??? certainly not at the cost of one of our starters........portland fans trying to get a refund on their deal...uh no thanks...we only have battier and artest as our wing defenders.....

plus portland stole away brandon roy RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES...not sure how Morey feels about that...or how we as fans feel about that......

overall...we were going to do outlaw + 13th pick for battier. but portland managed to snag jerryd bayless so if I was portland I don't think I'd have done that unless bayless was off the table.

the pre-arranged deal was that HOUSTON would trade Battier to PORTLAND in return for the 13th pick and Travis Outlaw...this would go ahead if Portland was unable to get Jarryd Bayless or DJ Augustin with their pick or a trade with their pick...they did manage to get Bayless...a move which I love for Portland...but obviously it meant no Battier...

Ok that aside, PORTLAND IS THE MOST ANNOYING TRADING TEAM FOR HOUSTON EVER...

here is a list of what they stole right from Houston's lap:

    BRANDON ROY

    RUDY FERNANDEZ

AND PROBABLY ALL THE OTHER SUNS DRAFT PICKS HOUSTON WANTED TO BUY BUT BECAUSE WE WERE A CONTENDER AND PORTLAND AT THE TIME WAS NOT CONSIDERED AS MUCH A THREAT PORTLAND WAS ABLE TO GET THOSE PICKS AND NOT US...

    SCREW PORTLAND SCREW KEVIN PRITCHARD

    DARIUS MILES...

but I love Pritchard's trades...they are freckin awesome......but they freckin stole Brandon Roy from us!!!

Good for you:) But you are doing it anyways.

No, Portland is not going to trade LMA - young, athletic, long, and nice shooting touch. Roy is their foundation.

So no, nobody else I am going to trade Shane and/or Ron for. Both Shane and Ron become real leaders on this team, on and off court. How could you not love them as Rockets fans, and trade them for scrubs?

I dont see any scenario that has the Blazers trading us Aldridge. Everyone has been saying what Portland truly lacks is post play. Aldridge is the only one on their team that comes close to being able to score with his back to the basket. Yes he does shoot to many jumpers but he makes a lot of them. As long as he doesnt ask for max money like Roy will get, Im sure the Blazers see those two as their future.

As for Artest, I dont think the blazers would trade for him. They have 7 million in cap room and if they just get rid of one or two players they could sign him outright. Fernandez and Batum make nothing by NBA standards so trading them for a signed Artest isnt going to match salaries anyway. Plus, with a young team you want solid veteran leadership. Artest adds toughness but hardly a steady veteran presence. If anything, I would think Portland would want Battier far more then Artest.

that is a horrible trade. We traded Batum to get Joey Dorsey and Artest so now he worth less?

We almost got Rudy for draft picks before the season started according to sources.

too young If you want to compete now.

Too hard to answer this question right now when we are in a fierce battle with the Lakers but I can give my opinion on how I value some of those players.

I will say I like LMA, but I don't think he'd be worth as much as what it would take to get him in trade.

    I really like Fernandez.

Outlaw and Batum are just okay fillers. For our purposes, Pryz and Oden would just be backup center fillers.

I can't really say what I would give up to get any of them atm. Naturally, if Artest wanted to walk for big bucks, we would be open for some sort of sign and trade, but other than that I can't think of anything.

Portland is not trading Aldridge or Oden, period. highly doubtful they;d trade Fernandez either. No one else on their roster would get minutes on this team, including Outlaw, Batum, Blake etc., so no thanks.

I'd trade Tmac for any kind of package they would give us, including draft picks.

    1. Ron Artest/Shane Battier for LMA straight up.

With tmac coming back, we have 3 starters for two positions at that sf/sg spot. Having Artest and Battier is nice, but we could do without one. One of our biggest problems is size outside of Yao. He would really help us out there and then we could move landry to play the 3 and have a rotation of tmac/shane(or ron) at 3, and then wafer/tmac/shane(or ron) at the 2.

Getting Lamarcus Aldridge would be legit and really help us out in the short run as well as the long run. Battier has one or two more years left at best and Artest has one or two more years in his prime and then he will start to slip as well.

Lets be realistic now. Do you really think Portland will give up a young upcoming potential PF in Lamarcus Aldridge for some old ass players? Please with these dumb ass useless trade scenarios. Its not going happen.

Lamarcus is untouchable he would be a good fit. I like Bayless but he isn't enough by himself so maybe Outlaw, Bayless, Webster for either Ron or Battier lol.

Now thats even more dumb. An all star in Ron Artest for some scrubs that arent going to provide anything for our team. We want to win now not wait another 10 years to grow.
