    Look, Kurt Rambis Emo Glasses.

    Shane's been checking Kobe.
Artest got ejected because of past history. Based on his post game locker room interview, he seems pretty collected. He knows the situation.

    The ref was an idiot.

I hope Violet Palmer screws the Lakers, and then eats your cookies.

In my invented hypothetical situation? Yeah. He said it 12 times and the Laker boards were filled with fans complaining of his lack of class. LOL

Right he went over to Kobe to tell him that he is Ron Artest and he doesn't want to mess with him. LOL. Please tell me what Ron Artest going to do if Kobe dares to disrespect him again. Is he going to throw punches and pretty much hand the series to the Lakers in a gift basket? Being a tough guy who can fight doesn't help you out in the NBA. DJ Menga sits the Lakers bench more than anybody and he has a blackbelt in Judo.

If you believe in "extra motivation", then Kobe just gave Artest a little extra motivation the next time he's guarding him...

You do realize that article on Shane came out months ago, right?

Kobe isn't Jesus. He is under no obligation to turn the other cheek. If your front office disrespects someone you can't be surprised and appalled when they dish it right back.

I'm not sure what your point is. Does Kobe's memory only last a couple of months? Is it possible he read it from this crazy invention called the internet since then?

If you're a superstar do you constantly need to claim your greatness?

Kobes constant claims of 'you cant stop me' are embarassing. What if Shane started taunting Kobe after every miss. It would be ridiculous and thats why the Rockets outclass the Lakers everytime.

He's not dishing it right back. He's deflecting it to an uninvolved third party.

A non-egotistical douchebag, as I said before, would ignore those comments in the first place. But if he does need to use this as "extra motivation", that doesn't mean he needs to talk s*** to a guy who had nothing to do with that stuff being written in the first place.

At least you admit that he isn't Jesus, though... that's probably more than most Laker fans are willing to admit. It's the first step to seeing the douchebaggery that is Kobe.

Do you think Shane Battier had no idea that article was going to be printed? LOL. You guys crack me up with your mental gymnastics. Kobe might be a douche but at least he's not reluctant to chuck the ball towards the hoop at the end of the quarter because it will harm his precious shooting percentage.

Wow... Now you're blaming Shane Battier for allowing the article to be published???

Just... Wow. Reach a little more, you're almost there.

wtf were you talking? We are not talking about Kobe's bball ability, we are talking that Kobe is a classless player and a classless man.

Our front office? Freaking NY Times wrote that article. And wanna know something? When Battier forces Kobe to take those shots as he did in Games 1 and 2 the Lakers ARE less efficient most of the time.

As for Artest, what has he done this year? There was the previous game against the Lakers when he started jawing a bit back and forth. Ok. You see, there's a difference. THEY were trash talking. Not just Ron. What does Battier do when Kobe starts smirking and taunting him? Smiles and looks away. What's Kobe's response to taht? "YOU CAN'T STOP ME! (finds nearest camera and says with cocky grin) THIS GUY CAN'T STOP ME!" All. Game. Long. Even then, what's Battier's response? "He's the best player in the world. I'm not gonna deal with semantics, because thats what they are, semantics"

You're right though. Kobe can say or do whatever he wants and you are entitled to like that. However I think you should analyze the difference between emotion and fire, compared to immature premadonna self worship.

Kobe, you're a ****. Hope you enjoy your maid abusing wife and your kids who will inevitably become whiny self-important head cases. You're a great role model.

Shame on Shane Battier for trying to play defense on the great Kobe Bryant. Who does he think he is.

The difference between passion and ego is which team you are rooting for. Kobe is morally weak, Artest is just misunderstood. Its fine. Thats the beauty of being a fan. Can we at least recognize that Morey's comments are pretty unprecedented? I don't remember another GM ever telling a reporter than his role player (thats not a knock on Battier.... hes a great player) renders a superstar irrelevant.
