Yeah, if it was a joke, why wouldn't he say so? Maybe he was being serious and trying to prove that he still has some "independence" and it blew up in his face.
Sestak is actually my Congressman! With his resume, I knew from the minute he first ran for Congress that he'd be a Senate candidate someday. I'm a big, big fan of Sestak. He's very popular in the Philly burbs which is key for winning a statewide race in PA. Should be interesting.
Oh, and new poll out today has Ridge cleaning up against Toomey or Specter. Also rumors are he's leaning towards running. Didn't see his numbers against Sestak or Joe Torsella, though. http://www.philly.com/philly/news/h...ng_Senate_seat__But__why_.html?cmpid=16339736
That's what I'm talking about. This guys scares me. The sleestaks go way way back. Kind of like Free Masons, but with lizard powers.
Got to love it for sheer entertainment. Batman vs. Fisher. Fisher vs. Spassky. Probably our too toughest posters. I have to go with Batman, though Sam is making the best of a bad case.
Ridge says he isn't running. [rquoter]WASHINGTON – Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge says he's not going to challenge Sen. Arlen Specter next year. Ridge is a moderate Republican who was the nation's first homeland security chief. He said in a statement Thursday that his party is facing challenges and he will work with the GOP, but he will not seek the nomination. A Quinnipiac University poll this week showed Specter and Ridge running about even in a hypothetical general-election race. Party officials have said he was considering a run. Former Republican Rep. Pat Toomey has announced his candidacy for the Senate. Specter recently split with the Republican Party after four decades to become a Democrat. Earlier Thursday, Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak says he's considering running.[/rquoter]
