Win a game 1 and had a shooter's chance to win the next one too, I definitely like our chances going forward.

I would like to see AB get more aggressive and just score at will which he is more than capable of. If only he can just stop self checking himself :(

DD I am with you on this that being 1-1 is great for the team. Now the team needs to come back home and take care of business. I was damn upset last night with what took place but I have to commend on the team handle themselves. I can't wait to see how team plays tomorrow.

we achieved more than just the split, also got one of their starters banned for next game.

and we've also successfully established a mental edge over them

i'm more than satisfied with the above :D

not happy at all. The lakers laid cheapshots to victory. Now it's a must win this series, or I am pissed. Before the series started I would have thought it was a decent series if we took them to 6 games. With the lakers being the favorites, and now facing having to lose to them after being a bunch of punks would only add insult to injury.

    god i hope they suffer.

The lakers are going to steal home court back. Book it. The refs will be on their side.

We all wanted 2-0, but coming back 1-1 is alot better than 0-2.

    I know, captain obvious!

But homecourt is no automatic victory; theirs wasn't. I hope somebody sets Yao's rear on fire and helps Brooks, Lowry and Scola find their shots. Von needs a big comeback and Landry needs to stay doing what he was doing in game 2. I hope Artest doesn't go psycho. This is a winnable series, but there will be blood on the floor when it is over.

    Theirs!

I'm happy we're fighting like warriors till the end. I strongly believe we will take games 3 and 4. That will most likely kill their mental focus which is great for us. If we pull this upset against the Lakers, it will make history. Also it will be a cake walk into the finals against Lebron. Denver can't stop us.

And just think, if the Rockets do manage to take Games 3 and 4 to go up 3-1, I feel that they'll pretty much have the series sown up since it has been 39 years since the Lakers last overcame a series 3-1 deficit.

Also, as far as the series being squared 1-1 with the Rockets taking that first game, we should be glad that Game 2 didn't end this way:

Yep, that's Game 2 of the 1984 Championship series involving the Lakers and the Celtics. That play there occurred with the Lakers having possession of the ball with no shot clock, and a two-point lead. The Lakers took Game 1 of that series despite having only two days to prepare for that first game with the Celtics pretty well rested. For the Rockets to lose Game 2 in similar fashion like the Lakers lost Game 2 of that 1984 Championship series would have been a lot more disheartening IMO than what happened last night just as well as to what happened to the Detroit Pistons five years ago in Game 2 of that 2004 Championship series after they took Game 1.

Very happy with 1-1... I would of been a bit worried if they were completely smacked but the Lakers played pretty much at their best and we still kept coming back.

Of course up 2-0 would have been great, but I'll take it.

The Rockets are playing better now than against Portland. Artest is playing at a high level and the Rox are playing well as a team.

If we can keep the turnovers down, we can beat the Fakers. Except for fast break points, Kobe and some Gasol, the Fakers have very little. Furthermore, the Fakers are soft, which is how the Celtics beat them in the Finals last year.

I would like to see more consistent scoring from the Rockets (less turnovers) but otherwise love the toughness of the Rockets.

it's the same thing we accomplished with Portland,
except that Lakers are a much road team.
But you're 100% right, we stole home court, and now the momentum is definitely on our side.
    We can beat dirty Fakers!

The question is, has he ever won a series when he lost Game 1?

The Rockets are playing better now as a team than when they played Portland, Artest is playing at a high level.

If the Rox minimize their turnovers, they can win this series. The Fakers are soft and rely almost entirely upon fast break points and Kobe.

I love the attitude of the Rockets and believe we can beat the Fakers just like the Celtics did in the finals last year. We must minimize their fast break points by not having turnovers and forcing a half court game.

Agree with you completely. And the fact that Kobe has a flagrant and Fisher is suspended means we're in pretty good shape for game 3.

i am proud of this team. proud of what we've accomplished so far. 1-1 is more than what the majority had expected before this series started. and more importantly, this is the first time the lakers have actually had doubt about themselves as to whether they could pull this off. they are not sure at all. that's why they had to play dirty up which is not much like what they supposed to be.

now we are home. if we could protect our home court. i would say this series is over. and we are going after championship.

    true that! here here!

this rocket team is on the verge of something very special if they can maintain their composure when LA makes their runs in this series...

    He's 6-8 in that situation I believe.

I'm still hoping for a split at home and hopefully forcing a 7th game. I'm not to the point where I think the Rockets can win both games in Houston. I just think it will be really, really tough to do that.
