The first time I watched it, I thought the same thing - "this is idiotic". I had worked in a hospital for a few years and couldn't relate to much going on there, but then stuff started clicking for some reason. I only watch the show in re-runs, but have grown to love it. I have no idea what's happening now since I don't watch the current episodes, but I plan on getting and watching all the episodes on dvd, probably.
i have been an avid fan of the show for 5 yrs...and i really wish it would end after this season... kinda sad to see this one finish...
I could follow the show with just Dr. Cox and Turk. Maybe have Janitor for filler. But Cox and Turk are the show mvps. Dr. Cox leaves to head a hospital in the city of x. First day, he runs into Turk. <insert something clever/complaining/etc> Enter Janitor, pushing by the stunned doctors. Shrugs and shoves some passing by intern to the ground, papers fly everywhere. /shrug I'd watch it.
