heh...NO, I dont mean that in a positive sense, like 'Hey man, Kobe RULES!'. No, I mean it in a Chuck Daly/Detroit Pistons sort of way. Remember the 'Jordan Rules' that Detroit had when facing him and the Bulls? About the 'Jordan Rules', coach Daly said: 'If Michael was at the point, we forced him left and doubled him. If he was on the left wing, we went immediately to a double team from the top. If he was on the right wing, we went to a slow double team. He could hurt you equally from either wing -- hell, he could hurt you from the hot-dog stand -- but we just wanted to vary the look. And if he was on the box, we doubled with a big guy. The other rule was, any time he went by you, you had to nail him. If he was coming off a screen, nail him. We didn't want to be dirty -- I know some people thought we were -- but we had to make contact and be very physical.' There should be 'Kobe Rules' instituted by RA and in full effect, baby. No way are you going to get away with that 'Yall cant guard me' junk he was talking. Light him up everytime he touches the rock. If they do beat the ROX in this series, they'll have scars.
kobe doing his best impersonation of "heart of a champion". sad.. he needs to validate himself on such a large stage.
The refs and the leauge already have Kobe rules in place. Kobe Rule #1: Any player to throw an elbow above the shoulder of a opposing player will draw a automatic ejection - except for Kobe...
Kobe is doing exactly what the Rockets need him to do. He is shooting nothing but jumpers and expending A LOT of energy to do it. He's also wearing himself down with all the extracurricular stuff...taunting and cheap BS. The Lakers might beat the Rockets but Kobe is going to have to shoot 60% on 18-20 jumpers for that to happen. I don't think he can do that consistently. He can't beat Shane off the dribble anymore. The mamba is looking old and tired to me.
And yet we have people here who honestly think that Brian Cook could be an effective hatchetman or hired goon and rough Kobe up...yea, right, pictures don't lie.
I think this should be Kobe Rule #2: From Chuck Daly "The other rule was, any time he went by you, you had to nail him. If he was coming off a screen, nail him. We didn't want to be dirty -- I know some people thought we were -- but we had to make contact and be very physical."
