So tonight is possible the series finale of Scrubs. There's been talks of bringing it back for a 9th season, but with out JD (Zach Braff) and Carla (Judy Reyes) as both are leaving the show regardless, along with creator and lead writer, Bill Lawrence. It's also been rumored that if the show is renewed for a 9th season, it could be under a different name since the show would be completely different without 2 of the main characters.

I was happy to see it survive on ABC after NBC tossed it aside. This has been a great season to date. Rumor is, tonight, we'll learn the real name of The Janitor.

carla and jd are my least favorite characters, so i'm down for them bringing it back without them.

I watched the show a few times. It had its moments, but the characters were just too goofy for me to relate to them.

I'm not sure it survives without JD. Completely changes the dynamic of the show. I definitely think I can live without Carla.

i think that's why you change it to 'sacred heart'. perry, turk, the janitor, kelso, elliot and the new peeps could still make a funny show.

Scrubs without Kelso in charge is pointless.

I'm sure they're already some product testing that went on to help determine if the show is viable without JD and Carla. Anyone remember the show where Turk and the Elliot stayed late at night in the hospital with the interns? That episode was actually fine, and you can definitely tell they've tried to develop the interns' characters a little bit. I hope it's back without JD, but the show just wont be the same without the Bromance :D .

Lol. There was an episode yesterday? I felt like I was missing some things and wasn't sure what happened (since there wasn't an episode last week) and apparently, there was a new episode last night. That might help to fill in the blanks...

Ugh, why did I just waste an hour watching that.

This show ended 3 years ago in my mind.

There was only about 10 good minutes of that finale. Everything else was pretty useless.

I thought the finale was great. Anyone who didn't watch the entire season missed out on a great show bouncing back from a couple of subpar seasons.

man, they could get rid of every single character sans Perry and the Janitor (and maybe Kelso) and I would still worship this show :D .. heck, I could watch endless hours of Dr. Cox and the Janitor going at it, and attractive females every now and then would be excellent as well..

You should have known better - they'd never reveal the janitor's real name!

    Should have known.

I thought it was a great way to end it. I was a little disappointed they didn't do much more with Carla since Judy Reyes isn't returning to the show if they renew. There was no closure there at all. The only other thing I was disappointed is was no Heather Graham and no Gift Shop Girl (Sarah Lancaster...Ellie on "Chuck").

I'd probably watch the new incarnation, if that's what they do. Like PointForward said, Dr. Cox and the Janitor alone could make for a fun show. It just wouldn't be nearly the same without JD and Carla.

Sarah Lancaster wanted to come back but NBC wouldn't let her or Masi Oka appear in the finale. I think they were still mad that Scrubs wanted to get their final season in and got it on ABC.

That's the name of the actor that plays the janitor.
