Rick sends Von to the locker room (UPDATE: Adelman says issue settled)

I missed most of the game so I'm getting this info second hand but it sounds like Wafer got out of hand. It sounds like we are still getting the info about what happened but Wafer needs to take a step back. I love the guys passion but as Will noted in his thread this was a weak headed move on his part when the team needs to stay united.

I guess this incident puts to rest that Adelman is a players coach who coddles his players. I still trust that Adelman will work things out with Wafer. Remember this is a coach that has dealt with a lot of troubled players like Bonzi and Artest.

Do we know exactly what Wafer said to Adelman/Morey?

 

I'll take this with a grain of salt. Von is still young and he's a player that really feeds on emotion and his passion for his game. He just needs to know that the coach's decision is the final word.

 

it's really bad when coach adelman, a player's coach, send you to the locker... does wafer thinks he's still in high school?

 

That's what I'm thinking, RA does not seem the type of coach to flip out but then again, he probably never has that many players complaining to him since he's a players coach and knows how to deal with players.

I hope Von is smart enough and he goes face to face with Rick and says "Im sorry coach i let my emotions get too high and i'm sorry i let them get to you."
Im sure Adelman understands that Von is a young guy and he's very passionate about the game and that Von didnt mean to get personal with that.

 

Von should know his role. He more than likely deserved to be sent back. I applaud Adelman for taking control of the situation.

You want a player that is passionate about the game and wants to be in the game at all times, I'm sure RA knows and respects that, but Von must've just taken it too far, got too emotional.

It was an emotional game, I doubt its a problem going forward, I expect to see Von back game 3 playing well.....

 

I am watching the replay and noticed that Brown and Vuja are steady talking smack to Von, this probably got him fired up even though he was still being productive. Also AB is making a lot of mistakes in the 2nd qtr

 

LOL at you, you just became a member and already embarrassed yourself, you must be a Faker fan. You are too dumb to realize that Von is a free agent, he can't be traded moron.

 

Completely inexcusable on Von's part but let's not blow this incident up too badly. He crossed the line and i'm sure this issue has already been addressed privately. He'll know better next time and I can't foresee this impacting his role in this series.

 

Even thought I'm a huge Wafer fan and love what he brings to the table... I have to respect Coach's decision even though I wish it wouldnt' have happened. Whatever it was I'm sure he deserved it because RA and Morey just don't jack around for no reason.

 

Von Wafer is one of my favorite guys, he had played himself into a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract... NOT NOW! I think I see why he has been on 5 teams in 3 years... The dude is a nice player... Cant control his emotions apparently.

That's what I'm trying to find out also. From what I know he got upset because he was taken out of the game and kicked and threw a water bottle I believe. LOL and just to think that guys were saying he has more class than McGrady.
