I posted a thread last night about the 1986 series between the Rockets and the Lakers and what is sad is that back then the Lakers were doing the same thing, so were the Celtics too. Mitch Kupchack (current Laker GM) and Kurt Rambis were really not much more than the basketball equivalent of hockey enforcers and Pat Riley all but admitted their job was to rough up Olajuwon and Sampson and hopefully get them to retaliate and get tossed. That play worked halfway in Game 5 when Olajuwon got tossed but Sampson managed to keep his cool that game and win it for the Rockets.

A lot of what we are seeing isn't new here.

It doesnt get any more obvious than that.

Youre blinded by purple and gold as is the NBA.

I am sure you would of hurt your team like that. Pretty smart to do so, I would say.

    Excellent!

You know the NBA wants the Lakers to win. The officials have been given bonuses to do so.

Thats why I am not watching! I had LOST on the DVR and watched that instead with a glass of wine and wondering how Kate will ever get over Sawyer when she REEEEEEEEEALLY loves Jack but Jack is a bullhead idiot so...

    Hurt the team or not.

He did to Shane and Shane walked away.

2nd, 3rd, 4th time you need to stand up for yourself.

Ron isnt gonna take that trash from Kobe and I love that.

You, LD2K, you probably never grabbed a man's rebound in your life. He didn't just "turn his body". No way he've been able to turn that ****ty body of his cause Artest already occupied that spot for the falling ball. Nobody in the league can legally out muscle Artest away in that situation. The correct words should be he "threw his elbow" to get loose.
