Seriously? A scrap-heap guy who no one thought would make the team coming from the D-League suddenly decides our fate in the playoffs when we have a savvy veteran shooter that can replace him on the bench?

    Man, you people...

Nope, not stupid at all. Coach A did what he had to do. Wafer is a walk-on, lucky enough to make this team and get another chance, and some minutes to show what he can do. The LAST thing he needs to be doing is trying to show up Adelman. For a guy hoping to get a contract, it was beyond idiotic and seriously calls into question what he has going on upstairs.

A pity. I like what he brings to the team, when he bothers playing the way he's supposed to and doesn't expose his immaturity and/or lack of intelligence. With everything going on, this was the last thing we needed. Von Wafer played the fool.

Maybe they both did, but Wafer has to realize the pecking order on the team. He maybe a great talent and popular with the fans but he has to let the Adelman do his job because he is really in no position of power on this team.

I am sure Von will get the message, he is just immature......that comes with age.....etc....

I am glad he is competitive, but he needs to know his role.

Barry hasn't done a thing the whole season and you still have faith in him. It doesn't matter if he came from the D League or not , the point is the bench needs scoring and thats what Von did last night. Barry won't get other guys open, and shoots the 3 horribly compare to Von. How soon they forget those big games from Wafer.

I'm very disappointed. I assume Wafer wanted to get out there and commit some violence. It's too bad the coach had to deal with a hothead on the bench in addition to everything conspiring on the court.

Hopefully, Wafer will get another shot and redeem himself. If he isn't on exemplary behavior AND contributes something meaningful in the playoffs the Rockets need to cut him loose. If I'm Morey, regardless of what Wafer does for the rest of the playoffs I just changed my mind about what kind of deal he is offered during the summer.

Vons emotions cost him millions of dollars lastnight. He's really turned into one hell of a player, but he needs to mature alot more and put the team first.

    Uhm?

    RON ARTEST?

You know the guy who scored outplayed Kobe in the first half with more steals, more assists and 1 fewer basket than Kobe while taking 6 fewer shots?

They're all men not some feuding chicks. Wafer panicked but water under the bridge. Be a man step up. Apologize take your lumps and come back and help your team in game 3.

It's not Rocket science. Wafer was wrong. In the heat of battle it happens. Man up and move on

I here you, however the responsibility lies with Von as well. He needs to show a professional attitude. I would like to see RA and Von to work together. We all want Von to succeed.

I don't remember Adelman ever booting a player during game time. Von must have crossed the line. Man, I had high hope on Wafer in this series. I hope he calms down and learned his lesson.

Come on, Von, take it out on the evil Lakers, not your coach!

I agree with you...VON HAS TO KNOW HIS PLACE and not challenge the coach, especially in a playoff game.

But I would also like to know exactly what he SAID to RA, and what RA did to try to difuse the situation before sending him packing. Just throwing a water bottle in a direction towards no one is not enough reason for a level headed experienced veteran coach to send a needed player to take a shower.

That was a very masculine post. I imagine that you have a ton of chest hair!

A while back he was complaining about the minutes he was receiving, or lack of, and he sees this as his chance to bolster his next contract. I don;t think it boils down to anymore than that with. I like his fire, but he does need to make it a positive instead of a negative if he really wants that contract. We need him and he needs us so I expect he will bring it around and finish it out.

From reading the NBA.com recap article by JF it seems Wafer was simply pissed because he got benched. Maybe it has something to do with AB replacing him ? At the end of the 3rd it was: Wafer, Lowry, Landry, Scola & Battier. Beginning of the 4th: AB, Lowry, Landry, Artest & Yao.

Guess we'll find out soon enough, let's hope Vakeaton Qamar redeems himself because if he doesn't, I do not even want him back. Going off on your coach is one thing but not apologizing would mean nothing less than forcing him to leave the team. In that case, maybe White can show off some of his skills though I hope it will not come to that.

He's lucky he didn't have to find his own ride home after going "Two Sandwich" on Adelman.

Hate to see Von melt down, and especially in the post season, but even more so that it's happening in front of the Lakers.

Anyone that blames RA for this a) doesn't understand basketball, and b) thinks too highly of Von.
