Proud of Artest's interview, proud of Shane smile, but on that wide open layup by Kobe after Ron was ejected in the open court, where Brooks just runs by Kobe without any effort to stop the play, he should've fouled Kobe hard. Nothing dirty, just a playoff foul that says we're not gonna take it.
Just win. Period. F--- the Lakers, they aren't tough. We play physically, they don't like it, and throw elbows, knees, and cross checks. I haven't seen a single dirty play by the Rockets in this post season, but Kobe is just getting dirtier and dirtier with his elbows and knees. The problem is, we don't buckle. Want to play rough? Great! We'll play rougher. Bring that weak mess down here. This here is Houston, Kobe, and we're going to welcome to Texas, b----. You won't win in this building, chump. Rockets in 6. FTW.
I rather see Cook elbow the **** out of his old teammate than White. James White could come in place for Von if he gets kicked out the game again by Rick.
Well, I'm not saying we should do that. I will, however, say that many of the teams that are considered among the greatest teams ever played dirty. Anyone who watched 90s basketball outside of the Rockets knows that Michael Jordan played almost exactly like Kobe plays now. The bad boys Pistons teams seemed like they were out to hurt people. Those great Celtics teams roughed up the Lakers constantly. The Kobe/Shaq Lakers teams had several players, including Kobe and Fisher who are being labeled as dirty here, as well as guys like Horry and others who have gotten in fights in the playoffs. The Spurs won their titles with Bruce Bowen, one of the dirtiest players in the league in his day, as their premiere defender. My point is, this type of stuff is part of the game and always has been. What happened in game 2 isn't something unusual and if the Rockets do retaliate in some way in game 3, that wouldn't be unusual either. It's no different from baseball where if a pitcher nails a batter, usually the other team's pitcher will do the same thing back. It's part of the psychology of the game. Anyone who has played sports knows that intimidation is and always has been a big part of all sports.
Good luck in getting Brian Cook to do something like that. Someone posted a picture of him when he was with the Lakers giving Odom (or was it Kobe or someone else on that stupid team) a kiss!
David Stern won't allow this. If we do that all the refs will be forced to make all calls against us.
Exactly what I said. We should have fouled Kobe hard on that play and sent him a message. You can do all that without being suspended.
