i am here because i have always been a rox fan since Yao joined the team, i followed rox team and rox is still my 2nd favorite team, i cheered for rox always xcept when against lakers(my no.1 team), kinda sad to see so many of b1tching and crying after the game, LA won not cause refs or anything, but because kobe is great and lakers is a better team

Kobe even looked over to Doug Collins and said " he can't guard me ! " then Doug Collins bragged about it ! Trust me Artest is now the sleeping giant they woke up

    LA Times Laker chat:

"Hey, did anyone catch the end of the game where Kobe meet up with Fish in the hallway? They both gave each other a PIMP handshake. That was some Godfather %$%#$!

I don't believe the comment made about the Lakers being the dirtiest team. They are fighting back and sending a message to the other team. They are showing some must needed toughness. This series will definitely make the Lakers stronger going into the 3 round."

"Fisher made me so happy when he bowled over Scola. No mincing around, No whining to the refs or barking at people. He just went down the floor and took care of what needed to be taken care of, wasn't a cheap shot, just a manly move." (manly my ass, cowardly is more true)

"Houston heard a rumor that the Lakers are soft.
They decided to find out if the rumor is true.
Derek Fisher's reply: the rumor ain't true.
To all the D-Fish ("he's too slow") haters:
I love the "message" he sent to the Rockets.
    Peace out.
    PS:
Ioved the shot of Kobe and D-Fish slapping hands after the game (you can tell Kobe was like, "way to send the Sasha wanna-be a message)."

"I'm truly laughing at all the people coming on the blog and talking about how the Lakers are dirty players. Please. Go find someone who cares about what you think and spout to them.

Lakers played some tough ball. Fish's foul on Scola really turned it. Even though we were ahead, it didn't turn until Fish showed his toughness. I liked it. Whether he meant to or not doesn't really matter to me right now. It brought our team together, and we needed it. Lakers won't get punked now.

This series is going to be a crazy one. Lakers can win if they maintain cool heads while dishing out the toughness."

That's just a smattering of what the Faker faithful think about us. Time for a good old fashioned ass whipping!

Oh, you mean the Artest that's gonna play a 1-on-5 game against the Lakers?

Yeah, lets hope that particular Artest stays sleeping forever.

Don't you just love it this time of year?

All the Lakers did was respond. Cheap shots and referees on the take don't tell the story.

The Rockets have the Lakers' FULL attention. THAT'S the kind of respect only a TEAM can earn. Whether the Lakers were favored or not, if the Lakers didn't feel the need to COMPETE against the Rockets, than the Rockets wouldn't have any chance to win this series.

I like boxing. And anybody who likes boxing will tell you that styles make fights. Or actually, contrasting styles make fights. The Rockets want to win. They have to play a certain way against the Lakers in order to do that.

And they have to do that four times in seven games. That's it.

The thing I like is that, whatever you think of the Lakers themselves (if they're cheap-shot artists or bullies or arrogant babies), the Rockets aren't going to roll over for them.

My thing is anybody around here being surprised by that. The Rockets have been tough enough for a while now. But that's ALL that they've been.

Tough. Being tough is a necessity. You don't win 22 games in a row or overcome guys hurt if your team isn't tough.

You also don't win if guys aren't balanced.

Shane Battier didn't all of a sudden become this blood-and-guts warrior. He's been that since day one. What he HASN'T been is consistent enough on offense. But that's what makes what's going on so special to me.
Now you got guys who'll pick up that offensive slack that everybody's ready to overlook. THAT'S what a BALANCED team will do.

Find a way to win. Play YOUR game. Get it done on both ends of the floor.

Like I said...this is too much fun...

If I could afford a ticket, I'd go in just to throw a beer on him. I live in Dallas anyway, I could care less if they don't let me back in.

lakers are a better team, i bet you if kobe got a microfracture surgery on his knee, this team wouldn't make the playoffs. More importantly, took kobe 27 shots to make it to 40, took ron 13 to get to 25. percentages support artest. As for the rest of the team, besides gasol they were crap. oh but they were capable of talking smack, elbowing players, and playing football (ex: fisher). lakers are scared, believe it or not...we're in their heads. rockets in 6. after lakers loose, i wanna see what UCI is gonna post up.

agree on he didn't get his rhythm. Gasol is a tough cover for him. But you have to understand that Gasol basically doesn't have to play defense because Yao couldn't get the ball and the referees. Some of those repost plays make me cringe. Make a decisive move already.

Why Gasol wasn't as good in game 1? He had to play defense, and he was trying to score down low which he couldn't do.

well regardless of how he is in the training room, we've seen how he is on the court...and talking smack is not something a "GREAT" player is supposed to do. He's crap. he was my favorite player, until tonight. i hated lebron, but now i must say he's a better basketball player then kobe.
