Dude come back after Sunday's game when the Rockets will have 3-1 lead in the series. And the Smack down the Rockets will give your Lakers. Ron would kill Kobe in straight out street fight.

you can analyse the game all you want, but it starts with referees, cause that's the biggest factor. I really got confused with some of the fouls on Yao.

Brooks has to be decisive when he receives the pass. Shoot the damn ball! Brooks needs to drive and penetrate more since the Lakers were so concerned with Yao. It was just unfortunate that Yao was taken out of the game so early.

In the 4th quarter, Yao did play with some fire. You could see some serious anger in his eyes. But too little too late.

    6) Landry's FT
    7) It's just sad to realize the reality of the League -- in order to keep the series interesting, in order to protect NBA's franchise players like Kobe and LeBron, in order to let Kobe and LeBron meet in the Finals, the refs would just go against any team that appears to be a threat to them

Everyone here knew a Joey Crawford officiated game goes this way. Yao never got a chance, wait till Friday Yao will have a great game. Red Rowdies get ready to defend the home court.

Look at it this way...we did what the Celtics did last year. We are winning the mental battle with the Lakers.

FACT: They are NOT tough. They are a bunch of glitz and glamor pretty boys who have great skills, but don't have toughness outside of Kobe. They are going out of character to be something they are not. They failed miserably vs. the Celtics when they tried to do that. Gasol was manhandled, Odom disappeared, Fisher was outplayed, and Kobe got frustrated.

This series, they are playing a less talented team, who has much less room for error, but they are every bit, if not tougher, than those Celtics.

If the Lakers thought the Celtics were tough, they aint never messed with Ron Artest before. Even if the Rockets don't win another game, we will fight this team. We will beat them up, and try to take them out of their game some more. The Lakers are gonna be forced to become a lil nasty if they think they are gonna win.

Its kinda how the Knicks and the Bulls used to battle. The Bulls grew tough after dealing with the Pistons, so they were ready for the Knicks by the 90's, but the Knicks were tough as nails, and they beat up the Bulls and never backed down from MJ. Luckily for the Bulls, Jordan was just as tough, and he prevailed over them for 6 years in the playoffs.

Pretty boys don't like to get down and dirty, and the Lakers have only one guy who is willing to get nasty, and he has to be the best player for them as well. So with that being said, trying to be something they are not will definitely affect their games physically and more importantly mentally.

So even though we lost the game tonight, look at this...Yao was in foul trouble all game long, he had 12 points and 10 reb. Artest gets ejected, we missed quite a few free throws, Wafer was sent to the locker room for being an idiot, and Kobe had to have a miraculous game, and yet we were down by 7 with about 5-6 minutes to go. Everything that could've went wrong for the Rockets did, but that shows this team's toughness.

Like Kenny and Charles were saying, can Kobe do this for another 3 games?? He couldn't do it against Boston more than twice last year. He has 2 elite defenders on him, and one of them which he personally ticked off. Let's see how these glitz and glamour pretty boys respond to the junkyard dogs named the Houston Rockets.

Skills will take you a long way in the NBA, but in the playoffs, toughness plays a major role. How will Kobe and the Lakers respond to a more physical attack from the Rockets?? You know Gasol and Odom will fold, Fisher may not be there next game, and Vujabitch is just a poser.

As far as Fisher goes...that was just dirty. Plain and simple. There is a difference in running through a pick (high school coaches teach players to do that). Running through a pick is running through their body, not elbowing/headbutting them in the guy's face. He clearly crossed the line. I like physical basketball, but I don't like dirty basketball. I think next time Fisher even comes near the paint, the Rockets need to send him a message, and give him a nice, hard playoff foul. He aint got Shaq to protect him anymore. Lets see how tough this "tough guy" really is.

Yao played poorly even without the BS calls. He gave Gasol too much room to opertate and gave Gasol too good positions. And sometime he didn't even raise his hand when Gasol put up a mid range jumper.

He needs to defend Gasol better than that.

Best post I saw in this thread. I believe Yao getting called for ticky tac fouls from Crawford is the reason why he and the Rockets sucked tonight. Whatever, it wasn't that big of a blow out not to mention we lost 2 players who shouldn't have been ejected.

    We need to bounce back.

I don't think it's odd to hear Chuck and Kenny defending the Rockets-- they are honorable players, with loads of character.

Fisher really leaned into that pick. Definitely deserved his ejection.

But seeing as how he has been a defensive liability against Brooks, it might have been better if he wasn't ejected.

And I was surprised Scola didn't get any playing time after that incident. I wonder what Adelman's reasons were for that.

Just Kobe thinking his MJ. Check out the game where MJ seating on the bench in street clothes got to Kobe's head. MJ mojo worked that night as Kobe's team lost to the Bobcats. What a loser still can't beat MJ. By the way without Shaq Kobe will never win a Chip.

seriously. thats sad. I mean is this basketball that people are veiwing on television? or is this the basketball people are paying money to view? I've seen the mavericks series. the jazz series. all in person. and i must say, i've never seen so much cheap stuff go in, both physically and verbally. and in comparison to jazz, thats saying something. the sad thing is, if the rockets don't beat them, such an arrogant, cocky, and cheap team will win the championship. just sad. OH AND THE BEST PART, KOBE IS NAMED ABOVE BATTIER FOR DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. insane. tonight we saw what the most elite player is capable of, trash talking and arrogance. Somebody pat battiers back, because even if we loose, i've never seen such a great character like his play the game quietly and respectfully.
