WE ARE IN THEIR HEADS Do you see it? The look on the lakers faces? The feel of their crowd? The panic and desperation in the lakers play? Do you know what that is? FEAR. Everyone counted us out. We werent even supposed to make it out of the first round round, let alone get ONE win against the lakers IN L.A. Now this.....down by 17 in the first quarter and come ALL the way back to take the lead going into half before Kobe hits a lucky 3 to tie it. And this is with only TWO points from Yao Ming......... .........Welcome to hell, Lakers
Never expected this. I thought the Lakers would rise up and coast tonight, but you're right. I believe.
No doubt, we just took their best shot, and even with NBA's company men helping the Lakers, we're still right in this.
no doubt. what I love about this team is.....they keep letting the lakers know..........we aren't going away
Them going after Scola, all 4 of them cuz they're too p***y to stand up for themselves, was the ultimate compliment to REAL toughness. Scola plays hard, and is cheap with flops, but not physicality. They countered Scola's true grittiness with fake cheap shot bravado
We're going to win this series! the Lakers are disgusted by themselves by dirty plays after dirty plays, they all know. they just dont say it. We're now really in their heads, and they cant play any better! Houston is a team we can be proud of b/c they play with heart and class! secure 2 in Houston and We knock 'em off!
This thread needs to be a sticky. We are in their heads. The Lakers are ****ed! They know that we can hang with them, run with them if need be and are NOT GOING TO BACK DOWN TO THEIR DIRTY TACTICS! Let's take this series by the balls in HTown and finish them!!!!
i see the opposite. the 4th quarter just showed that they're in the rockets' head. we just need to keep our composure and keep our turnovers down and we can win. otherwise, the lakers [and the refs] will take advantage of us.
We are in their heads. A "championship" team doesn't play like the LA Thuggers did tonight. They played like desperate scrubs. Every time the Rockets took a cheap shot, they got up smiling, they KNOW they are the better team... they didn't panic, the Lakers did. Bottom line, the Lakers shot an amazing percentage and that WILL NOT happen again.. we lost because shot horribly and turned the ball over, Lakers defense my butt, essentially we shot ourselves in the foot... Yao had 4 shots, Scola and Brooks went 10-29 combined... these things WILL NOT happen again in this series. I am going to relish the beatdowns we are going to administer at Toyota Center.
Phase 1 failed. That was to beat the Rockets at the game of basketball. Phase 2 was to start running their mouths to intimidate but that didn't work either. Phase 3 is to play prison ball and let the refs come to the rescue before our guys can lay the smack down on that team of less than masculine individuals. The Rockets have to play smart and remember the Lakers have Kobe and benefit of the doubt he will always get. They also need to remember that the reaction is always what the refs see and whistle. Just like what happened to Ron tonight.
I agree completely. The downfall came when Luis Scola got into it with Odom/Walton and when Artest got ejected. We need to re-focus and not get into a talking match with the Lakers (the new Jazz), it is imperative we let our play do the talking.
Rockets need to keep their heads cool If we are going to beat the Lakers, the Rockets need to keep their heads cool. Kudos to Scola for keeping his head cool and getting us the tech. Kudos to Battier for keeping his head cool in both games and not giving in to Kobe's cheap shots. It's unfortunate that V.Wafer lost his cool with Adelman. You don't lose your cool with the coach in the middle of a series. We don't need to deal with that in the middle of a series. Artest man, keep your cool too. Kobe is a cheap sh*t but Kobe wants to get you ejected in the middle of the series. If you're gonna deck Kobe, do it in the last game of the series if we're gonna lose the series.
