I'd be shocked if Rockets could win this one, Phil Jackson and Lakers aren't bums.

    However, GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!

Defense, defense, DEFENSE! That is the key to winning, not just tonight, but in every game. Good defense will be your friend even if the shots aren't falling.

If the Lakers make more jump shots (especially, Fisher) it could be bad. The Rockets lost a game by 15 or so in Portland. Too many people here get "happy feet", as Rudy used to describe it. The Lakers didn't win 65 games by being what some here hope they are. A very good Boston team last year took 6 games to win the championship against the Lakers. True, they beat them soundly in game 6 but... if the Lakers were as soft as people here would like to think, Boston should have swept them.

Also, expect, tighter, more energetic defense from the Lakers. The Rockets did falter a bit when that happened in in the 4th quarter in game 1. I worry that the young'uns (Brooks, Lowry and Wafer -- esp. Wafer) will make silly mistakes under pressure. Wafer can be yanked, as he was in game 1. But the Brooks and Lowry are harder to do without.

Just don't count the chickens before they hatch. I don't think the players are thinking they're going to win easily... and that is a GOOD thing.

I'm counting on their defense to be their most reliable tool.

Taking a series against LA would be almost as sweet as beating Utah or Dallas. Of course, I'm not gonna cry without them to play this year. ;) (I do hope Denver takes that series.)

Rox have chance to win, but if they lose...lose close... playing hard making them work for everything. You want Lakers going to Houston feeling vulnerable. That will be a victory in itself. Prediction: can not expect the 2nd best team in NBA to lose on home court esp with Crawford reffing. Rox lose. (hope im wrong of course)

Let's hope the reffing in Celtics-Magic isn't a sign of things to come for Rockets..

they just let baby davis steal the ball from out of bounds.. you have to be blind to miss that.

Isn't Joey Crawford reffing our game tonight? Heh, with him around, we'll be lucky if we make it out of the 1st Q with Yao (or Scola) not getting in foul trouble.

They played really "dirty" in game 1; That's why I hate fakers.
If fakers lose in game 2, they are done!

    Let's go Rockets!!
