It's a dirty play and NBA should suspend Koby for one game.

I remember that a couple of years ago, Jason Terry gave a elbow to Finley, which was exactly the same as Koby gave to Battier. Terry got suspended for one game and Dallas lost that game.

I don't want to complaint on refs, but even Lakers fans admitted at least 3 fouls (two on Battier by Sasha/Koby and one on Yao by Koby) were obvious but never called, and nothing from NBA so far. Yet they punished KMart for pushing Dirk out of bound with 1 techical foul + 1 flagrant foul + $25000. What's the consistency here?

    I agree completely with Shane.

I would be far more concerned if they were calling the little ticky tack fouls (ala Portland game 2) and handcuffing the game.

This is the playoffs, when every game is one seventh of your entire season. The refs need to allow that intensity to make it the incredible experience that it is year in and year out.

I love Battier but he should have put Kobe in his place. He is a great player but if some b**** is all up on you get mad have your team back you up so that it don't happen again.

If, I'm reading you correctly, Kobe's place is beneath him. 8 points seems acceptable.

    agree.
the league is so biased, they did nothing to Rondo, but punished KMart, totally BS.

I just re watched the first game, and noticed a little funny thing.
one coach went up to shane when he we on bench, and said something(guessing like sorry he didn't see the bloody mess or something like that), then shane game him a big smile, said something(guess no big deal alike)

Shane is trying to win the refs to our side, I like it.

What good would it have done for Shane to confront him?

You want our best defender suspended for this most critical of games?

macho bravado dont win ball games, having your best players on the court does.

Shane reacted perfectly....downplay it but use it for motivation to keep your intensity up, what he is doing must be working if Bryant must resort to those kind of tactics to try to get the upper hand.
