I worked at BK in high school. The patties are cooked on a conveyor gas grill, the grill marks are real.
And effing nobody would buy it since it would not taste as good (nothing a good "healthy" slab of mayo would not cure). If you want healthy, order a grilled chicken sandwich with mustard and no mayo.
Oh give me a break. I don't like making a lunch for myself like a schoolchild, and I like grabbing my lunch.
If you want healthy eat a piece of tofu in the morning and scream meat is murder in a jack in the box employee's face.
Aside from the hilarity of "preparing and bringing a lunch = childish" are you suggesting that your only option for lunch is to eat fast food?
On some rare occasions the diet coke may be because the person is diabetic. I have type 1 diabetes, and so on the occasions that I do grab fast food, I always get a diet coke. It really isn't because of the calories or anything. Sometimes there are good reasons why a person can order a diet coke with a calorie heavy meal.
I suppose I'm viewed as a schoolchild when I bring my prepared meals into work for breakfast/lunch. I'm curious to know what Fatty does for dinner. I need the entertainment. Fatty, what do you typically do for dinner when "attempting" to eat healthy?
I disagree with this. Reports have shown and most people know you can eat fast food and still eat relatively healthy.
On the rare occasion when I feel like pigging out on a fast food meal, I always get a diet soda because too much sugar gives me a headache and its bad for your teeth (fat isn't). I agree, there are many good reasons to order a diet soda with a crappy meal.
You associate your way and I'll associate mine. And of course it isn't my only option. It is my preferred option. I'm just seeing what's some of the healthier stuff.
I include myself in my chiding of American food culture. Although I don't eat beef or chicken anymore, I still tend to eat crappy fast food and order diet cokes. I quit drinking regular sodas 4-5 years ago.
Not only that but if you're already ordering a calorie heavy meal and can cut some off then why not? I mean you can save anywhere from 140-400 calories just by going to diet and if you're eating inside even more than that with refills. I'm not saying this is a good way of eating healthy but like I said if you can save those calories then why not?
When you say healthy, do you mean low fat? Or do you mean healthy? Please show me these reports, and define "healthy". I think most americans get the terms "low fat" and "healthy" confused.
The Grilled the Chicken at Wendy's without mayo + a side salad instead of fries is one example of how to cut out enormous amounts of fat.
