Yes. Big or Small, the task at hand will be accomplished by either Kobe or Shaq and that's what will make them a dynasty type team.
You mean when they win their third. I would consider them a dynasty since I don't see anybody beating them until Shaq decides it's not worth the pain to beat up on little kids anymore.
I didn't think the Bulls were a dynasty with the first three they won, maybe because Jordan retired quickly after. But I still think that way. I'm just greedy because I think Lakers can take four...
They can be beaten. Without discussing officiating, all the Kings had to do was shoot a little better than 50% from the line tonight and they win this game. The Kings are still a young team that will improve as the years go by. The Spurs will improve with the Euro (Ginobili) and the addition of a perimeter scoring threat. If the Mavs can ever get an interior defender, they're dangerous. The Rockets are up and coming with the top pick. If this series proved anything, it's that there is hope... LA is beatable. Whether someone will execute is another story, but it can be done.
I think 3 consecutive titles will guarantee the 2000-02 Lakers a spot in history. I kind of consider them a modern dynasty already since they've been so dominant. As long as Phil can get Kobe and Shaq to co-exist, I think the Lakers will always be contenders. The Kings exposed the Lakers' surrounding cast which needs a lot of work if the Lakers want to go 4 for 4.
I didn't mean to make the post sound like the Lakers were automatically going to win the championship. The Nets have a chance! I was just wondering...
